pogue makes a good point...careful which paintings your usin as a refference point...many 17th scottish portraits show detailed plaids...which could not have been physically made with techiniues known at the time the painting was done...sitting for portaytes took too long...so they sat for a ...head shot...put on another previviously completed body and background....those damn artists....always being so creative....

now i was under the impression as to be carrryin mutliple weapons was for heading into a fight only....shoot one drop one...from a bit of a distance aways...so as to not have to use your sword...(like bringin a knife to a gun fight)...so by the time you got close enough to use your sword...most of the pistols were gone...and hopefully the guy you were shootin at too.

i used to joust...and we used starfire swords solely...only ones we found to take the abuse...but they are on the simple and generic years range...but they are made for actual combat...and hold up...with a guarentee replacemnt on the blade...not to shabby

that being said...i never liked their cutlass or boarding dagger...softer metal...dinged easier than the tough smll swords or the bastards (the swordsd not them).....only heard lack luster reviews on the combat side of the cutlasss....

but their falchion/scimitar...holds up beutifully...had one goin on 10 years now....blade still holds ups to the best of them...i had it modifyied...by adding a clam shell...looks better than the starfire cutlass...cheaper too.

If they gets some more..... we can always sell th' one(s) we don't want, and get more rum......
