  5. I'm horrible and i'm working it out, are there any confident pirates on this thread who wanna post some video of themselves speaking? That would be helpful for us who are working on our tongue..crazy idea then?

  9. Please, that would be great to hang around you guys once again. Camping,I would have a small sail for sleeping under and the clothes on me..and of course rum, marlboro's (pirates would have smoked them) seaweed and a corral for my sea horse!!
  10. Will all the lads be attending...Would you mind if I squat in with you?
  11. I hate it when a pirate is wearing a sugerloaf helmet on deck..oh, and spurs.
  12. Are there any Reenactment groups on the west coast with hand sewing requirements?...
  13. It's um Blackwatch...I like it cause it has a lot of greene in it.
  14. What size o' bit you plan on using?
  15. Would this be period? Those stockings are wool. (I know were in twill but I just can't help myself)
  16. This has been a hard subject to research for me. I've found several emblems, what I've been trying to research is what was the size for the majority of labeling on cooperage and crates? We've been guessing thus far.. The VOC box in the pic is one of our ice chests/food storage and as you can see we labeled the box quite large....hmmm. So while were on the subject, anyone have any research on sizing as well? I hate assuming, but one would think that they would want to be labeled so sailors could see whats what when unloading goods..
  17. Everyone is looking really nice! Props to you all! Here are a couple new shots of my newest coat..I used my own pattern, but I used a machine to sew cause I'm impatient....This is one of the coats I made from a heavy white wool blanket from the Surplus store for $10.00 bucks, then dyed with blue ritz dye..very warm and soft..Thanks for letting me share..
  18. Sailed today.. My Little 18 ft wooden spritsail skiff.. very swift. I can sail from Port San Luis to Morro Bay in 2 seconds (not really). I was stopped and boarded by the coast Guard when I sailed into the bay for not having any markings on her and was given a warning..They asked why I was wearing Breeches and buckle shoes. Doesn't everyone? Then they asked where my 'Pirate" hat was, I told them a Cracken ate it..whatever.
