  1. :huh:B):huh::huh:

Ahoy Mates, finally the Captain Wind is back, and sadly was one of the ones that fled the bad weather on Saturday. My girlfriend was driving, and was a little worried about the storms. So we cut out much earlier than I wanted to.

However did catch the Bounding Main and Jolly Roger fantastic show by both.

Now I wait for Bristol to open.

I hope to be more active on the Pub moving forward.

    B)

    Cheers!

  2. Bounding Main will be performing just a few miles away at the Kenosha Days of Discovery-Tall Ships event. This won't be as immersive as the Port Washington Pirate Festival but there will be tall ships and sea shanty singers such as David HB Drake, Tom & Chris Kastle and, of course, Bounding Main. You can see the event schedule here.

Bounding Main WILL be at Bristol the weekend of August 18-19, and it would be wonderful to see our friends from the Pyracy Pub out there!

    Fair winds!

    Aye,

Now I know what dates to plan to go to the faire. Since I missed you in Port Washington, I will definatly have to be there for Bristol.

Depending on finances I might pop out to the Talls Ships to hear you as well.

  3. Ahoy Maties,

First of all I would like to apologize for not making it out to Port Washington this year. I was really looking forward to meeting some of the people from the pub, but alas, real world events that reared their ugly head kept me from coming, and I have been having a time even getting on the net, thanks to my now ex-wife, but that is another story for my real world person to deal with and not Captain Wind.

That being said, I hope they do it again next year, and I will make sure I am there for that one.

The glasses are pretty cool. I have been wondering about that to get exact or as close as a rum skuller can be...

So you might say... I be LOOKING into them soon.

  5. As I understand it, both will be on the west coast. One will travel to Mexico area, the other to Alaska.

Alaska is only a part of the year destination? Would it then do Mexico during the Alaska down time, or would they bring her east for the winter?

I will have a look see throught the travel trades and see if I see anything.

  6. SOAPBOX TIME!!!!!

If you don't want to be disappointed:

DON'T READ ANYTHING THAT SAYS IT'S ABOUT POTC:AWE.

This way, you won't be disappointed.

I, on the other hand, love to sneak peaks at Christmas presents, catch the tooth fairy in the act, and made Hausenpeffer with the Easter Bunny!

    :o

Annyoing though it is, I would have to agree. It is interesting to have a look see and then sit back and wait to see if what you have seen is real or not. Someone spent time on it. :o

  7. I found out that my vacation for June 1 has been denied. I trasfered from third shift to second shift in a new dept. The new forman says that I can not have off that day due to inventory. Just how many people do they need? Well I will have to see if I can get down there at all now. Have fun anyway. :o

    Arrrrr, that sucks.

Hope they might change their minds.

  8. Have you tried www.mapmsg.com? Satellite pics that you can zoom in on. I've seen my house and even my boat.

I can't get zoomed far enought in to see the Captain's Crib. Though I can barly make out my roof.

  9. If I can be getting my garb together by then, I would love to volenteer

Having a costume is not a requirement for being a volunteer, as much as I would prefer to have everyone in costume we need volunteers too bad to discriminate!

We can always get you a pirate festival T-shirt to wear, too.

We would love to have you on board!

    Thanks!

    :ph34r::ph34r::huh:

    Now that I can do.

What is the next step for me to step up to help?

  10. Hey if you all are looking for help on that Fri I all ready have it scheduled off.

    ABSOLUTELY!

If you want to be an official volunteer the website has a volunteer page with a pdf sign up form. But if you just want to come down early and help with whatever setup we're doing...come on down. Last year we got started around noon on Friday, if memory serves (fog of rum).

This year we've talked about having a "green room" type of tent for volunteers and reenactors to check in and have a place to put their boots up for a bit. As soon as the Physical Plan is done, we'll know for sure. I'll keep you posted on that.

    Thanks!

Ahoy Sally - If I can be getting my garb together by then, I would love to volenteer, I live in Racine curretnly, 51 miles door to park as my jeep drives.

  11. Captn TradeWind...so sorry to hear about that. Well when you are done with your bar I suggest having an ENORMOUS PYRATE PARTY.!!!!:lol::lol::huh: :) :)

Thank you, that be a long and strange story...

Once my pirate bar (if I keep the house) or my apartment, I might just have to do that and invite all pirates from all over to sail in for an evening or three. :)
