Either St. Thomas or St. Maarten. Both places are beautiful. Snorkeling in Shipwreck Cove off of St. Maarten, ye can see masts and cannon at th' bottom. Blackbeard's Castle is a must see in St. Tomas. Don't ferget Maegan's Bay. Pristine white coral beach. Clear water. Absolutely beautiful!

We are a band of pirate actors and reenactors scattered mostly around Georgia and Alabama. We have members as far as The Carolinas and Florida, as well. A question on the term "Monkey"... I have heard that a Brass Monkey was the rack that held cannonballs in place on deck. In freezing temperatures, brass would contract at a different rate than the cannon balls themselves, causing the balls to fall off of the rack and roll around on the deck. Hence, the term "Freezing the balls off a Brass Monkey". Is there any truth to this?
