Aaargh... yer just playing hard to get..... I'm just thinking wot kinda garb ye could make with alla those skills.... and me mind just goes "all a flutter".......... And ye had ter be married.... Rats...... Ok seriously (well as serious as I get....) isn't it interesting all the skills we do learn to make Pyrate stuff..... heck .. I can do embordery and have learned how to knit.... I know leather work... sewing.... metal work... horn.... awh you get the idea.... so we don't just learn about Pyracy... but other skills as well...... Oh, forgot to mention, have done leather work too... Yes, I've made a lot of things you "don't go out in"...

I want one! My friend had a '57 when he was in college. It really wasn't all that much different than the modern Beetles. (I think the Beetles built in the early 50s and before had that split rear window that is shown on the logo for the Old Bug site.) If I remember correctly, the reason they stopped building them in the US was due to emissions regulations. They couldn't make that air cooled rear engine fit very well in the wee engine compartment with all the emission crap on it or it was too expensive for the acceptable sticker price of the car or some such. So they started making them in Mexico where no one cared about emissions. Imagine rumblin' around in this! Now that is unique!

I don't have Official Pyratically Correct garb, but I'm quite good at alterin' anything I can find that has potential. I go my own way in a piratical fashion. Thankfully I'm skilled with sewing machine, fabrics, trims.. soldering torch, sterling silver, rotary tool, hammer, engraver...so I have a fair amount of my own piratical jewelry, too.

I wasn't directing it at you at all. There are definitely those who want to be single. I was not disrespecting that at all. It's all in what makes you individually happy. Just wondered who else felt happy on that day. I must have hit upon a real sore spot. There were a few who just kept coming at me, wanting a fight. I don't know what makes people like that tick. I felt like saying, "There, there, it's alright."

A thought....or a query.. I wonder why it is here that when you start a thread or post something, some people feel it's their duty to spew venom all over your thoughts, good fortune, or just a word. I can't help but wonder what drives some pub members to be outright nasty towards one another. I'll take the time to post something and it's completely ignored. I'll start a thread, and someone will feel driven to s**t all over that thread not once, but many times. I know it only makes THEM look childish, but I just require a bit of assistance in understanding the motivation behind this.... I joined this forum thinking it was a merry place of comeraderie, but I've been proven wrong countless times. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this, or has an explanation.
