I was in Wal-Mart tonight(yes, lucky me). Everyone seemed as if they were retarded, on drugs, smelly, inbred, or just plain STUPID! I couldn't believe it. The checkout girl was half out of it. Then, I realized where I was- In maine, in a Wal-Mart.

All your fests sound like a blast! I was born on Hallowe'en, was thinking of having a pirate themed costume party. (Ever notice how cheesy pirate Hallowe'en costumes are?) I have to have a party to mark this milestone in my life. This piratess looks at 40.

First and foremost, The Stranglers song "Golden Brown" is breathtaking. I adored it upon first listen in the early 80's. A true rarity and one of my best discoveries~ the group Dark Orange, their cd entitled "The Garden of Poseidon". Super rare, an import I gave a listen to at a cd shop years ago. I fell in love. I'm not sure how easy this would be for anyone to find, but if you love a combination of romamtic shanties and sea themed tunes, this is a true jewel. It's always my definitive summer sea dreaming cd.

I'd love to have a pirate party! Plenty o' rum, a pissload of attitude, choice shanties, killer garb, great seafood, and a kick ass good time!! Anyone here ever host one?

You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!
