  9. I'll go look for it soon, Thanks. Have you read "Farallon" ? It is an account of a crew stranded along the shore of Alaska arounf the turn of the century. Good reading.

  11. Me personnaly, I carry a piercing dagger about 17" long from end to end, with a handle made of braided english seine cord. It lives in my boot most of the time. But I confess I wish I had me a smaller one for utility purposes.
  12. I heard somewheres that a sailor should put a pickle in his pocket on his birthday for good luck. Not sure why...but I've heard it several times.
  13. What I'd like to see here as well is some links to photos and drawings of ships either under construction or completed.
