  1. I don't think you missed it. Something like that will be heavily advertised when it gets close. >>>> Cascabel
  2. Looky here what I stumbled upon...... http://www.richard-chamberlain.info/Blackbeard/ >>>>>> Cascabel
  3. Next time, order your barrel direct from Ben, and at least you will have that as promised. Mostly, I have found there is about a 2-3 week waiting time with him, depending on his back log. >>>>> Cascabel
  4. If you have never dealt with The Rifle Shoppe before, be prepared for a VERY long and frustrating wait. I have had dealings with them on several occasions, because there is no other source for some of the things they have. I would not deal with them at all if there was another choice You will find that they will absolutely not keep their word about delivery times, and seldom answer the phone or reply to e-mails. I don't mind waiting, but I hate being lied to, and I have made promises to customers based on what The Rifle Shoppe has told me about delivery dates, and been made to look foolish because they keep giving me bad information. If you are able to get them to answer the phone, they always tell you "It will be sent out next week", and several months later you MAY get delivery. However, they seem to be honest, and always eventually send the goods. (End of rant...) You will find that your barrel maker, Ben Coogle is very good to deal with, and always keeps his word about delivery times. I can only say good things about dealings I have had with him. He is also very accomodating about special order requests. >>>>> Cascabel
  5. I think the "no pockets" thing got started with the Rev War re-enactor crowd years ago, as applied to snug fitting knee breeches. Pockets with items in them would really look terrible on clothing like that. >>>>> Cascabel
  6. I likes 'em all . Yer quite the accomplished cartoonist !!!!! >>>> Cascabel
  7. So far, all the info I have seen is speculation based on detection of anomalies found by a ground pentrating robot of some sort. I will believe it when they actually bring up some loot. >>>>> Cascabel
  8. Cascabel here, stirring the pot a bit just for fun..... They ALSO appear to be wearing sashes, big black hats, and huge cuffs on their coats, OH MY !!!!!! (Try to ignore the spurs visible on the boots) >>>>>> Cascabel
  9. I suspect that this was released in a theatrical version in Europe, with possibly longer running time. I have seen theatrical posters for sale from time to time on eBay in a foreign language, but I don't recall which one. It also was released on vhs in the UK under the title "Devil's Treasure". I also would love to have it on dvd, and have e-mailed Agamemnon Films requesting information, but they have not seen fit to reply...... >>>>> Cascabel
  10. WELL DONE, SEZ I !!!!!!!!!! >>>> Cascabel
  11. Aye, Simply put..... If you don't want it to fire, don't put anything down the barrel and just prime the pan. Easy enough. As I understand it, some of the pieces from Loyalist Arms come with the touch hole un-drilled, but otherwise ready to use, so that might be your answer.... >>>>> Cascabel
  12. Back on topic...... Me darlin' Izabel and myself had a great time at the Corona event. Thanks to all for making her feel welcome on her first visit to the West Coast. I had a fine time renewing aquaintances with old shipmates and meeting new ones, along with putting faces with some of the names on the Pyracy Pub. Also thanks again to the Port Royal Privateers for their fine hospitality. Hope to see some of you at some East coast events if you can make it..... >>>>> Cascabel
  13. Ahoy, all.... I will be at Corona, hanging about with the NQG folks. Would like to meet any Pyracy Pub denizens so that I can put a face together with the names. Introduce yerselves if you see me. I will be dressed like a pirate !!!! (HAR-HAR !!!) Anyhow, see ya there..... >>>> Cascabel
  14. Can't get the link to open...... >>>>> Cascabel
  15. Aye, I have been asked to do Tizzy again, so I probably will. He really is a lot of fun to play. >>>>>> Cascabel
  16. Unless something changes between now and then, I expect to be there... I owe me good shipmates on the West Coast a visit. >>>> Cascabel
  17. I've heard of this "Pirate Recruiting Story" quite a bit, and never thought that it sounded at all like reality. Having been around GENUINE nefarious characters quite a bit myself, I know that they could not be bothered with such foolishness. Such things are handled by quietly passing the word in private to trusted individuals today, and I suspect that has been the way it was handled for centuries. The story just doesn't ring true !!!!! >>>>> Cascabel
  18. Captain Redd said it in Polanski's "PIRATES" >>>>>> Cascabel
  19. Check the Gallery link at the top of the page, Shipmate. There be LOTS of us there !!!! >>>> Cascabel
  20. Patrick.... There is a good hardware store available where you can get wood for tent poles if need be. I'll be happy to take you there when you arrive. >>>>> Cascabel

  23. Myself and Izabel will be arriving Thursday, in order to help them set up for the event. See ya there !!!!! >>>>> Cascabel
  24. If yer at a grocery store in street clothes, and little kids whisper to their mothers, "I just saw a pirate !!!", ye might be a pirate. (Happened to me several times) >>>>> Cascabel
  25. If they do it in the same location as last year, the area is not paved. >>>>>>> Cascabel
