  6. PICTURES!!!! These are just a few from the event....I am sure when the rest of our committee gathers themselves together (along with others kind enough to share their experiences) we will be posting more of them! Enjoy! Reenactor Fest 3 - Gettysburg Photos
  7. Damn it to Hell! I knew this would happen - and dear Goddess...you haven't even met the WHOLE Crewe of the Archangel (lucky you!)... Sorry to say I just found out that the dates for next year's venture clash with another important event - But fear not...We are looking into other dates for the other event. I cannot miss PIP next year! Captain! What's this about Barcelona?! Are you carrying on in a manner unfit for a man of your position? Wait till your Father hears about this! Oh, and was any one else defiled?
  8. Dearest Henry/Mission: Could we have the dates for PIP 2008?! I am trying to coordinate with another event and would love to make it next year! Cheeky
  9. A BIG THANK YOU to all of you who came out to Reenactor Fest in Gettysburg, PA this past weekend. I am currently trying to dig out here at work, - still living on 16 hours of sleep *(total) and the lack of coffee is being felt as of this posting... Pictures will be posted when I have a chance - Again that you again for showing up, enjoying yourselves and stopping by and saying hello! Can't wait for RF4! Chicago, Feb. 8 thru 10, 2008! See you there!
  10. Thank you Mission for the update on the Archangel crewe members thus far. I know that Maddogge and Mad Mary will be in tow shortly. Have fun in town and be care on Duval street...Raise a big pink fruity drink for Cheeky!
  11. Christmas traditions....well, nowadays we spend most of it driving! Approximately 14 hours in a car (both ways) to see my folks and in-laws. There never seems to be enough time to relax…constantly on the dash while we trying to make the rounds to everyone’s home. Give me the good old days when I use to sneak down the hallway with my twin sister and we’d try to peak at the tree before the official “get out of bed time” of 6:30 am! The room would be a glow from the big bright colored lights on the six foot REAL tree. We’d always make sure we took turns playing Santa and it always seemed to go by so quickly. Now I long to be with the people I love and miss so much…the material stuff just doesn’t matter much anymore…the value of getting older and wiser.
  12. I do have to agree with you on this William! Have Gun...will travel!
  13. ^Driving home to Upstate New York to see both sides of the Family (Christmas and New Years) < Now...just need to decorate the house and put up the tree, but when?! V passing on the question
  14. Inquiry: If anyone sees Mad Mary Diamond, Maddogge, Captain Sterling, or Silkie - please let them know that I asked about them and hope that they have arrived safe.
  15. Oh Pete...see what you can find in Instanbul during the mid to late 17th century (Ottman Empire) - as far as period correct items (brass, lamps, and jewlery). Have fun, be safe...enjoy! Oh...I LOVE Turkish Delight!

  18. Lilly felt like a rat cornered in some dark alley, but she was not going to fall to pieces either. With a deep sigh and woeful look of despair, Lilly set forth to use what she had learned on the London stage. Why not apply her masterful theatrical talent when it could benefit her the most? This performance best be good, she thought to herself. If not, it could land her behind bars. "Please, hear me out. beseech you not to say a word to your Mistress." Said Lilly as she grasped her hands in pleading prayer. "I have done no harm. I had only deceived the gentleman caller. I have fallen into hardship and in desperation I did what I had to do.” She quickly pulled from her pocket the coins Remington gave her. “Here…take it, take it all!” Lilly said thrusting the coins into Sally’s hand. “If it weren’t for the fact that I am a good woman of conscience, I rather starve in the streets than steal from your Mistress. If this matter is finished, I shall go now and you will not see me again….I promise you that!” Sally stood there perplexed and bewildered at first. “Hard times? What led you to your current state?”
  19. When you've repacked three (3) Ya, count them!...three times and you just can't make everything you want to take on your trip fit and come under weight (air flight regulations) in your suitcase! Oh ya...Clothes Horse!
  20. Came across a journal/biography about an 18th Century midwife : ''A Midwife's Tale: The Life of Martha Ballard, Based on Her Diary, 1785-1812,''
