We love working with the 'family' venue and have several skits that give the public entertainment along with some historical information. Mixing both is what we do best. Okay...'the bunny ear' joke manifested itself back at Port Washington thanks to MadMary and 'Mark'. I am still trying to adapt such a headdress to a proper size. It's hard to look at some of the 17th century etchings and scale it to my 'tiny little' head! To be small in stature and wear the Fontange Headdress (French) or Commode Headdress (English) can make one look taller...

Well...I am sure that the Fashion show (Sat. 1:15 pm to 2:15 pm) will be of interest to all who do more than one time period, admire those who can sew or just love history. As for the Cat Calling or Wolf Whistles...please keep them to a minimum. I would think that there may be a gent or two in the fashion show...this is yet to be determined.

Any time, Captain! Oh, keep in mind we have a few new items upon the list. Fashion Show for us ladies...I hope that it will be a time line event... As for the Belly Dancing....this should be interesting... And NO! I will not be in that demo!

The look depends on the 'activity' really. There is an assortment of attires that your lovely wife can wear just as Mary Diamond, Callenish, and Captain Sterling has stated. Simple is best...especially if cost is one of the factors. What Bess Hagarty is wearing is 'standard' attire for middlesort. But if you want flash, just like Mary has on...riding outfits are quite the proper thing to wear about town while doing business or traveling. I, well...I like gowns...with lots of colour! You never know when you'll be ask to show up at the palace!
