  1. Rumba dear, we do that all the time any way...just don't need to spend a thousand dollars to do it if we stay home... Feel better Lady!
  2. Men show their characters in nothing more clearly than in what they think laughable. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749 - 1832) People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of their character. Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882)
  3. We have too many high sounding words, and too few actions that correspond with them. Abigail Adams (1744 - 1818), letter to John Adams, 1774 You cannot have a proud and chivalrous spirit if your conduct is mean and paltry; for whatever a man's actions are, such must be his spirit. Demosthenes (384 BC - 322 BC), Third Olynthiac I have always thought the actions of men the best interpreters of their thoughts. John Locke (1632 - 1704)
  4. No that's more like "OMG, I hope she doesn't sneeze in front of the kids!!" Now, in front of Patrick, not a problem...I'm certain he will be the perfect gentleman and help her "put" them back where they belong...
  5. Oh about 400 pounds of tobacco ...maybe..
  6. As always Patrick... VERY nice! You never cease to amaze me.
  7. Curious... what will be offered for the serious reenactors?
  8. “Keep away from those who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you believe that you too can become great.” Mark Twain “Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude” Zig Ziglar
  9. “In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” Martin Luther King Jr.
  10. Nicely done! I have to agree with Pat though, the back waistband ties are a plus... after a winter of sitting around studying, some trousers/slops/breeches just have this funny tendency to shrink all by themselves... so the ties would allow one to let them out a bit at the beginning of the season and then take them back in as you lose all the weight working out at events! Also they are proper to the time frame (GAoP) if you are interested in the historical side of it all....
  11. Yeah that sounds just like a situation our Gunner would get himself into!
  12. Aye me an me Capt were luck enough to meet this fine man and attend a wedding with him (long story) Oh..Oh... but one, we, in the rest of the crew WOULD love to hear!!
  13. Damnation... we be pirates..surely we can think of something?! Um, okay...this event... ye be pirates... we be... ahem... pirate hunters... ye know...the real bad guys... all the more reason for us to think of something..ahem..
  14. damnation...its spelled BILLIE BEACH (jr)...our granny Beach liked it thought that spelling was prettier when she named our dad My word they be pirates... Beach...ocean... pyrate... Beech...tree ... forest... nah...
  15. So what if he were to make the actual sale off property?? I just think it would be a shame especially for the reenactors who might be wanting to load up on a few more pieces to actually use during the event, but of course we certainly don't want Harry to get into any sort of trouble either....
  16. Damnation, 't is Gunner!!! ROTDLMBAO... boy our crew really gets around!! what the hell kind of slops is he wearing or did he lose more weight?? those aren't the ones he was issued are they?
  17. Rainwater if ye please and welcome to the pub!
