I do have this six pack of Guinness.... which, if I figure correctly, should be three six packs by next Dec.

I...ahem.. spent most of my time stealing things from the careening camp or trying to catch up with my dear, old friend William Red Wake Brand.....someone needed to show him the error of his ways since our last night together in Barcelona. Although there was Bambi on the beach.... and Lily and William and the others just sat there!! NOT one bit of help from any of them!!! ONLY Silkie came to my rescue.... "Oh would you take me for a romantic cruise on your ship... to Barcelona..." What is it with Barcelona???
-
We keep a horse on one of the ships? No. The horse would be provided by one of the locals on the island.... we keep a goat on the ship and a few sheep for the Scots.

For all you hands on archeologists.... Having particiated in the Walk the Plank contest and then participating in the ship wreck photos, this may be of interest to some of the Twillies that attend PiP. During the Walk the Plank, got wet swimming in wool breeches.... During the photo shoot, got wet swimming in wool slops/trousers.... Swimming in the trousers was sooo much easier... so for anyone planning for the contest next year.... I highly recommend trousers over breeches....

BTW, aside from not having enough time to actually sit and chat with you Patrick, I will be pming you soon regarding your set up... it was WONDERFUL!
-
No patience indeed! Look who's typing.... I know who else will be chained to a tree next year....
-
Gosh MadMary....you were treated like a QUEEN! Until I fell in the water.... then everyone got wet... William said it looked more like the crewe was on holiday then ship wrecked... we were laughing so hard...as always.

Why? Are you guys planning to have lots of accidents? Spent Monday coming up with the background scenario for next year with William. Nigel, from the Bone Islanders, thinks it will be amazing and is already planning some of the building for the necessary props....including a full size damaged main mast.... If all goes according to plan... you will be busy "doctoring" the entire weekend with a field hospital and the opening scenario, will be the icing on the cake for your craft... we are even hoping to bring in our surgeon to help because you WILL have your hands full... Other special effects that will be needed(off the top of my head) will be: serious splinter wounds burns smoking/charred debris from the ships dismembered limbs more barrows (we have one) that work as the stretchers you want (we will also test out the silk waist sash to see if it truly functions as a stretcher as well) Hopefully a cart and horse for the wounded and bodies Severally damaged clothing for every sailor or ship board individual and be prepared to get ordinary kit wet.... LOTS of cargo....damaged, burning, floating...etc... If we start now...we should be able to turn the entire camp into the most amazing site...

Good to know... thank you. Get some rest and feel better Lady. I cannot thank you enough for all your help this event... I don't think I could possibly have tackled that drive without you!!!

All the pictures I have been posting are thanks to Silkie, as she downloaded her chip before she left my place. These are just a taste....I will leave the rest to her for when she returns home.

We brought about 50 gold and silver pieces of 8 and handed out about half of them at the camp and the fort to the kids dressed as pirates. I think that being the corner campsite made us the unofficial 'Info Booth' for the careening camp. We had to answer quite a few questions from people who didn't even know why we were there. Most just asked if they could walk through the site and take pictures, but several sat and talked for a while... Well done Iron Jon! Tis so very important to tackle such a task! I'm glad you came over and joined us during the evening concert...
-
Oh come now... I know you love me Lilly... you kept plying me with cigars! For which I am most grateful!!!!
-
We had an entire chest of them just for that purpose... unfortunately we seemed to have very few kids passing through the camps.... already spoke to Fayma about correcting that for next year.... When you have the time, just wander on over to the Archangel camp, Maddogge or one of us would be happy to help with this...

I have the glass and the bell.... as to the gun demo at 7am...**rubbing hands together gleefully** Heh! heh, heh, heh! After all, why should the Angels be the only ones up at that hour....

Well Lady, thank ye most heartily for the grand compliment but ye are far too kind regarding the scum in my crewe... but then my lads are a fair sight better than William's slovenly Mercury crewe... Went to bed early, slept in late... gee one could have robbed them blind... oh, wait, I did.... Still wish we had moved William's tent every night before he retired, oh well, next year I too wish we could have had a better chance to sit and chat, somewhat hard with young ones that need to be in the hammock by a certain time when everyone else is wandering over to the pub, but there you have it. My word, I never even got a drink until Sunday evening!!! Horrors! I did enjoy the trial. You, my dear, are a force to be reckoned with!!! Well done indeed!!
-
You bet! and we can chain ye both to a tree! Hmmm I can even lend William the shackles to make sure you get on the plane!!
-
HURRY UP WOMAN!!!

Not true, there were plenty of people who were not historically correct.... not to mention I know where the electrical outlets are so you can charge your 'ship' as needed :) Certainly agree here... you have no excuse not to come next year!!! And because my feet were killing me, I promise to be the first pc pirate to hitch a ride with you!!!!
-
Will keep an eye out.... oh btw, Mission... for next year, you will need tons of bandages... so everyone that has scrap linen, please keep the good doctor in mind and you also need to know how they treated drowning victims as CPR and mouth to mouth is out of the question....

Drink tester... that's me!
