  1. Cool... I know what to do then...that's my old brown waistcoat... I can show you this stitch...
  2. Yes they were uncut. There were. Look here buy the sword. 3 buttons of the same kind from the front. Sorry didn't think to get a clear shot of those. GREAT! Thanks again... sorry must have been blinded by the sword, missed the buttons completely until you...pointed em out.
  3. Did the stitching look something like this...
  4. Oi, were there no buttons on the sleeves down at the wrist?
  5. Oh remaining buttonholes after the last one fastened on the bottom... look to be false, are they?
  6. Flat felled, you can usually see both up close... this almost looks as if the fabric is just folded over and stitched down on top... I think I have an idea of what that is... I can show you an example at Blackbeards or if I have time I can photo an example... but it will be awhile before I can do so
  7. ye are good, remind me to cut ye in for another share... Thanks Jack...these are grand.
  8. Um the greyish blue fabric is that lining?? or the dress dummy?
  9. I left the underside of my silk waistcoat sleeves unstitched, I wonder if the unsewn bit is for ease of movement perhaps... I have heard of this, but tis nice to see an original ....
  10. Geeze did you get the info along with the sword?? And love the tacking stitches on the pockets... always wondered about that...
  11. Wonderfully done! Ye need to teach that to Maddogge... perhaps then one of his onion bottle might survive PiP!
  12. Bad guys?? Who? Ye cheery, happy go lucky pirates??? PLEASEEEEE!
  13. So far only the snotties, but I'm working on fixing that...
  14. Oi Sophie... looks like fun! We have the cold but still no snow... the non-fuzzy children keep hoping though. Getty says hi, he went in to have a lump on the back of his neck checked out... so they put him through a barrage of tests... we should have the results next week... and hopefully some kind of meds to treat the thyroid...
  15. We have been conversing already, but I shall welcome ye properly here. I am at yer service Lady.
  16. Welcome to the pub, mayhaps we shall see ye at PiP next Dec.
  17. Sarah Juniper I mean just look at these... at this point after what's being produced else where and the problems still associated with them, saving for a pair of these would be worth every second and every penny...
  18. I know the rest of the brethren think we Pirates of the Dark Rose don't want to play with the rest, but I truely just have not been following the Pyracy Pub until now. So........yes, Crudbeard, Bloodthirsty, Oreo, and hopefully some of the rest of our crew are definitely planning to see tha rest o ya next year. As ta where we camp, having a tent inside is rather handy for the cannons, but the beach seems like a fun place ta be as well. Mebbe we will do both. Crudbeard Well, well, well, look who's FINALLY here! Welcome to the pub!
  19. Aye he said the shoes, IF they were ever to sell them to outsiders, would run about 480 to 525 a pair... this was Halloween 2007, at that time they would not make shoes for anyone outside of the foundation. But I hear tell they are now making wigs for outsiders... so maybe their policy on shoes has changed as well. After aching feet with fugawees, and all the nonsense with loyalist, it would be worth investing the larger sum for a good pair... and these looked built to last a good long time... but unless their policy has changed... got the sewing and the leather work down...guess I need to learn to make shoes...
  20. Oi Mickey at the time, it was the style of the shoe, so that the look passed...
  21. Ah but my fugawee shoes were passed by Kass herself... so they do fit the bill, problem being they are the women's shoes but they were making them in larger sizes for awhile, up to 13, I believe... and may have some left... I just got a new pair and larger than the first... but then I have relatively small feet... any who, my only complaint about fugawee shoes is that they have dance soles on them... i.e, thin and not much good for heavy duty trekking... so that lets out a lot of guys because you want to get them large enough to fit an inner sole... I would invest in the Loyalist but still waiting for them to work out the kinks and truly, I am not very content with the large, shovel like toe... at least in prints of the time, the domed toe appears to be much finer...Williamsburg makes them with the much better toe, and I believe so does Sarah Juniper, so it obviously can be done...
  22. a shade aye, but not what I consider a true purple...
