  12. ave received this letter accross cyber seas, but thar has been no offical message at thar offical site as yet. We shall sea "Hello FM Faithful. We are saddened to announce that Matt Hensley will no longer be touring with Flogging Molly. We fully support Matt and his decision and wish him nothing but the best in all of his future endeavors. Matt has written a letter to you, the fans, as he wanted to share his very personal reasons for his departure and to let you know how grateful he is for your years of support. First let me say that it has been an honor to play with Flogging Molly for the last 10 years. I would have never thought that playing the accordion, an instrument that almost got me shot when I first was learning, would have led me down a road to Molly Malone's, Dave King, and an extended family called Flogging Molly. I have been blessed to be so lucky. I am writing this to tell you that I am leaving the band. This decision was not easy for me. I have an eight year old son Oliver who is becoming a little man, and the feeling that he needs his old man around is becoming too strong for me to ignore. The older my son gets the harder it is for me to leave him behind to go out on tour. Flogging Molly, as you know, is a hard working band that tours most of the year; I would never try to change that. I must follow my guts and step down. I'm departing the band but I will never leave what Flogging Molly has meant to the fans and myself. I look forward to playing on some songs when the band is in San Diego. I would like to thank all the loyal Flogging Molly fans for the support that you have given throughout the years. It has been a privilege to play music for you. I would also like to thank all the service men and women who have supported the band, may you keep out of harms way. I would like to thank all the bands that let Flogging Molly open for them and all the bands that opened for Flogging Molly. I'd like to thank all the friends and families who have lost someone and feel a little closer to them during IF I EVER LEAVE THIS WORLD ALIVE - I know how you feel, my mom would get nearer every time I played it. Keep the faith Matt Hensley"
  13. Spectators such as I enjoyed a glorious Saturday on the banks of the Mississippi River today. Sunny skies with the temp in the 70's. A "well done" goes out to all involved but I must say the Baratarian Cannon Crew was masterful in repelling the Pakenham British advance. Steven St'arr
  14. I like yer style also thar Jenny. Where, when or how might we read more of your work? How close is your book from being complete?

  17. Sailed across these items on ebay and while me own coins do not allow me to bid I do think they look cool. Thar be a french sword, tricorne and other items including an 1812 cartridge box listed by this seller, some as being 200 plus years old, again very cool. Me own novice eyes would not know the diff but I be wondering what some of you who've been in the trade a bit longer might think of these items, authenic or not? 18. In my own judgment thar be none better than the classics "Treasure Island", "Captain Blood" etc. From a bit more modern author I have found "On Stranger Tides" to be a fun read. Tim Powers be the author. I would also like ta get anyones opinion of the two series ye ave asked of.
  19. Time Life : The Seafarers I purchased this series off ebay last Christmas as a gift from me to me. Found it to be well worth the cost which was under $90 for the series + shipping. Watch those shipping cost as 22 books are very heavy. A pleasant surprise for me in this lot of books has been "The Whalers". Tons of history thar I had never imagined.

  22. Me thinks this one be worth the time it takes to port and mark your X. Might be ye will also. Steven St'ar Mastectomy Hospital Bill in Congress If you know anyone who has had a mastectomy, you may know that there is a lot of discomfort and pain afterwards. Insurance companies are trying to make mastectomies an outpatient procedure. Let's give women the chance to recover properly in the hospital for 2 days after surgery. Mastectomy Bill in Congress Breast Cancer Hospitalization Bill - Important legislation for all women. Please send this to everyone in your address book. If there was ever a time when our voices and choices should be heard, this is one of those times. If you're receiving this, it's because I think you will take the 30 seconds to go to vote on this issue and send it on to others you know who will do the same. There's a bill called the Breast Cancer Patient Protection Act which will require insurance companies to cover a minimum 48-hour hospital stay for patients undergoing a mastectomy. It's about eliminating the "drive-through mastectomy" where women are forced to go home just a! few hours after surgery, against the wishes of their doctor, still groggy from anesthesia and sometimes with drainage tubes still attached. Lifetime Television has put this bill on their web page with a petition drive to show your support. Last year over half the House signed on. PLEASE!! Sign the petition by clicking on the web site below. You need not give more than your name and zip code number. http://www.lifetimetv.com/health/breast_ma...omy_pledge.html
  23. These M&M Pirates even have their own race car (NA$CAR) scheme set to roll in Richmond on May 6. http://www.jayski.com/schemes/2006/38cup.htm Those die-cast cars should soon follow
  24. I also have thought this practice might be simply symbolic but that just leaves me wondering, symbolic of what? Could be just ensuring the ol' boy is dead and that only seems to be over-kill from 2006. Twould seem the tar and cage viewing should be enough to serve their pirate discouraging needs. Still .... we are here.
