  1. Good stuff, lads (and a sharp nod to the lass fer "Sex on the Beach")! I'd like to put in a request for a Mai Tai and Singapore Sling. Had a sling at a local pub a couple weeks ago and MAN! 'twas GOOD!
  2. Avast! Yet another reason t' be drinkin'! Here's t' Durty Mick May yer time in this port be long. Here, here!
  3. Electric Smurf I like using a Hurricane glass for this. Put 3 or 4 ice cubes in the glass. Add 1 oz. each of Cononut rum and Blue Curacao. Fill glass half with Sprite, half with pineapple juice. Mix and enjoy. Soon t' be one o' yer favorite party drinks!
  4. After I saw something about a "Plunder My Cherry" drink, I thought I might start this thread. No, not basic stuff like rum 'n' water, 'r rum 'n' coke. Got some fancy things here that our fellow privateers may like t' try? I would personally prefer it if the name of the drink was listed first, then the recipe follows in the body of the message. Although, knowin' pyrates don't follow rules ver' well.....
  5. Just saw in IMDB that Spider-Man 3 started filming 5 November. The villains listed are: Sandman - played by Thomas Hayden Church (played on the old 'Wings' series) & Venom - played by Topher Grace (Eric Foreman from 'That 70's Show') Sony's website shows a release date of 4 May, 2007
  6. What? No "Seek & Destroy". Maybe that's more for pre-pillaging! I like "PinaColadaBurg" from Bill Paxton's 'Coconut Pete' character on Club Dread Son of a son of a *%&$!...mother mother *&%$! Damn funny flick!
  7. Mate, I sent you a private message as it's too "adult" to be posted in public forum!
  8. Rummy, I love that soundtrack! Some of the best music, there. All right, all right, all right!
  9. Papa was a rollin' stone....
  10. Too bad you couldn't have seen the two shows in 'Frisco where Metallica was their opening act...
  11. Hey! No postwhorin'. Get yer own thread!
  12. 'tallica again. Mercyful Fate medley from Garage, Inc. Kicks A$$!!!
  13. I'm normally pretty quiet, anyways. Always lookin' like I'm pissed off. When I'm snockered, 'tis much worse. If I drink tequila, I start lookin' fer a fight. Uhhh...hence I stay away from tequila...
  14. Aye, mate. Ye mean besides where it says "Broadway"?
  15. I've never been able to see a Broadway show. Would've loved to have seen Phantom of the Opera, Guys & Dolls, or Les Mis. One of these days...ahhh, the curse of growing up in California...
  16. King Nothing - by mighty Metallica Merrydeath, Whiskey is one of my favorite 'tallica songs! Song's over...Now, "The Thing That Should Not Be" There is an all Metallica station on AOL radio...
  17. Avast, me hearty. Ye must have Mr. Sparrow on the brain, fer there be no Jack postin' 'ere yet! Put down the rum, luv. 'Tis too early in the morn' to be hittin' the bottle.
  18. I'm one of those freaks who could have Christmas all year long. Lots of good memories from being younger. I, too, notice retailers start earlier every year. I try not to pay too much attention since it's more opportunity for someone to ask you to donate to this or that cause, trying to make you feel guilty for not pitchin' in. I've got a surprise for them, tho'. I care only for me and mine!
  19. Found this title listed on Wikipedia. IMDB lists several actors as 'Turkish prison guard', 'Turkish guard', and 'prison guard'. Just by the title, maybe someone will try to sail "to the ends of the earth". Barbossa could have been foreshadowing in the first film when he and Sparrow were fighting in the cave: "You're off the edge of the map, mate. Here, there be monsters!"
  20. From unofficial source (Wikipedia): The movie will premiere at the Disneyland theme park in Anaheim, California on the re-opening day of the refurbished Pirates of the Caribbean attraction which the movie trilogy is based on. The refurbished attraction will include a new storyline and Audio-Animatronics based on the movies. Sorry to burst yer bubble, Josh. (If this is in fact how it plays out.)
  21. "Jarhead" - A slang term used by sailors as early as World War II to refer to members of the Marine Corps, drawing the term from the resemblance of the Marine dress blues uniform, with its high collar, to a Mason jar which at the time was made from blue glass.
  22. Arrr. Watch it, matey! That's 'Marines', not 'marines'!
  23. If that's the case, we may have to designate someone to do a group buy from Disney World!
  24. Very nice. Me likey! If only I had the coin, mate. I'd jump all over that one. Nice touch havin' the Jolly Roger bein' run up! Very cool.
  25. Aye! Here, here. United States Marine Corps 1993-1997. Proud jarhead veteran. Lookin' to get back in shape to reenlist in the Reserves, but the drink may be my downfall.
