Hello mates I have an X Large Captains Frock Coat. Its a brown color with brass looking buttons it has no inter lining and no pockets but has the flaps to make it look like pockets. i have no need for it anymore im changing my pirate outfit around once again, its a very nice coat needs to be broken in. What else would be a good fabric if coat weight and kersey are not avaluable to me what other fabric could i use

Hello me hearties im looking for 3 yards of grey Coat weight wool or kersey to make a sailors jacket. i cant seem to find it besides looking at reconstucting history. i think they want like $25.00 a yard thats way to much me. does anybody know where else i can get some. Or if anyone has 3 yards by 45 width i would gladly take it from you thanks ol jack

Hello me Hearties im not sure if this has been talked about yet or if it has i havent found any good sources. anyways what is the width of a Gaop period baldric, i know that the ren faire belts are like 3 inches in width. and what did the buckle look like , i been trying to find a period correct baldric for me self the other belt sword look pretty good but im used to wear a baldric is there any links to where i can get one or have one made. thankie Ol Jack the Pirate
