miami is bout 150 miles from key west and lauderdale is another25 miles or so and orlando is 350 miles, marathan has a small airport and is 50 miles away those would be the closest to key west then still rent a car or bus to get there.

Maggy, it was great seeing you again at PIP and taking all those wonderful pictures of the whole show , I wanted to get some pictures myself but i got too busy with setting up the cannon , loading the pistols and plundering around the fort , the pub and pilaging around town to pull out the camera . I was in town for 5 days and still didn't get to do every thing I wanted to do and see ,,,,,, more later , thanks again willie wobble

patrick as for now i'm heading down from cocoa beach tuesday morning ,just thought i be able to give you safe passage out of miami, if things change i'll let you know (you don't want to hang around miami airport too long) willie wobble

harbormaster, is there any update on the pistol cannons , i've got one of the grey star 6lb 1\3 scale barrels and made a deck carrage for it works great, have'nt been able to find any thing the right size to fire out of it yet except 7/8 round wooden balls from the craft store . and i WILL be fireing it at PIP in key west in 3 weeks!!!

if key west is booked , big pine is 30 miles up the road and there is a few hotels and a nice campground , stayed there this summer i think it was big pine marina and campground ,32 miles from duval street hope this helps, willie wobble

shipwreck , ah oh i know of thomasville well , i hunt in cairo and drive through thomasville or come back to eat there . i'm a crew member of the pyrates of the coast out of orlando or the central part of florida we go to tampa or st augustine last week and going back in a month or two, don't know if thats too far or not ? keep watching the board for new events.
