  1. Ahoy Mates, I was just browsing the www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk website and found information on the second series of 7" action figures for POTC. Series 2 will feature Captain Jack Sparrow II (Jack has some costume changes since the first movie), Elizabeth Swan, Ragetti, and Pintel. There will also be a set of 2 figures as cursed pirates (skeletons) of Capt. Barbosa and Capt. Jack Sparrow. These figures are scheduled for an October release in the UK. I have found that I can get a better price by ordering action figures directly from toy stores instead of on ebay if I want them when they are first released. Just use Google to search the internet for stores. Fair Winds, Capt. Jack II
  2. Ahoy Mates, Johnny Depp will be on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight (Wed). He will be talking about his new movie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Jack II
  3. Jack2 is the name I chose because my father's nickname is Jack. (His given name is John) He and I have done a lot of sailing in very small boats on the lakes of New York and New Jersey over the years. He was also in the US Navy. I also chose this name because I am fascinated with women who have dressed as men throughout history in order to make a living or defend their country. They were even pirates! There were not many options open to them before the middle of the 20th century. Here is a web site with more information on these exceptional females. http://www.cindyvallar.com/womenpirates.html So now you know. I am a female impersonating a male pirate who also happens to look like Johnny Depp when dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow.
  4. There are inexpensive hotels in Mesa at Route 60 and Power Rd plus Gilbert Rd and Route 60.
  5. What about a coupon or two for "drinks all around" plus the certificate? After all, we are all pirates!
  6. Does Jack Sparrow ever come to the commissary?
  7. There is a great wall hanging for sale on ebay for the next 3 days. It is 100% cotton and is listed as a twin sized bed sheet. The seller has 11 available for $14.99 each. 8. Where in the world do you get a camel in the middle of the ocean? I guess on long voyages you'll do anything for a distraction. :)
  9. Well, this just goes to prove that Johnny Depp has made the "big time" in Hollywood. I hope he doesn't go into hiding because of his tremendous success.
  10. You are so lucky to be sailing. What is your destination? What are your accommodations like on board the ship?
  11. I may be going on this sailing adventure on March 12. Is anyone else going? Jack2
  12. Do any of ye ken (know) pirate crews in Phoenix, Arizona?
  13. The breeches in Simplicity pattern 4923 are not historically accurate. They lack a waistband that is narrow in front and wide in back, a gusset in the back with drawstring, gathers at the waistline in back, and buttons on the front underlaps. If you want a historically correct pattern to sew, Eagle's View Patterns Broadfall Drop Front Breeches (PM/73) is available for $8 from Sewing Central. This web site also has patterns for shirts, and vests. http://www.sewingcentral.com/cgi-bin/Web_s...id=4015794_9690
