.......I think we're all feelin' the crunch.....I know I have chopped down my plans fer pyratin' this summer already...And like others will probably confine myself to a smaller radius. I'm a veteran re-enactor and there are plenty of venues here in the San Joaquin Valley of Calfia within a 3 hour drive...The mountain men and Colonials love us pyrates to death. My days of goin cross-country look to be numbered....Can't carry much on my Harley, and my Hemi seems to love gas more than I do....Sucks too....Just bought a bigger trailer fer haulin me camp and Cannons around.......Just gotta plan ahead and hit fun events nearer to home........Iron Hand

.....I hope I'm not oversteppin' me freedoms here, but we all know what needs ta be done.....When somethin' affects us all as much as this gas thing, we need ta make a stand....Either together or separately.....Our forefathers didn't stand for unfair taxation, and neither should we.....This fuel increase is effecting every fiber of our lives.Freedom, nourishment,entertainment, and our rights to gather together for the common good..Our ancestor Pyrates united against Tyranny, and did what they needed to do...We as a country need to tell our government...Enough is Enough....If they don't wake up, our great democracy, will go the way of every other great civilization before us....We have a great weapon in our grasp right now....We can vote for change...Now... Before we have to take to our ships again....The pen is mightier than the sword......Lets use our power....Doesn't matter your party affiliation....Let them all know.....They're all replaceable.....We've got to save the way of life all our ancestors sacrificed so dearly to insure We don't deserve to be sold out unless we don't attempt to effect change. We need to impliment that change not complain that it never happened.....You all have the power......Use it.......Iron Hand

......My Gawd Laddies and Lasses.......We all grew up on Pyrate stories.........Peter Pan, Treasure Island.Robinson Crusoe,Shipwrecked...The List Goes on and on and on.......It's sad some folks don't remember the important role Pyracy played in defeating the Spanish Armada,The American Revolution, The Battle of New Orleans, The reason for our modern Marine Corps....etc,etc,etc.......I too will be glad to see the JDepp's gone....But really...He is a Quintisential Pyrate Type.......They are a part of all our history, and Huzzah for us, Thems what will carry on the first person history lessons to an unschooled lot, so's they can learn,touch,feel,smell, and breath Pyracy. Maybe feel the wind in their hair,smell the salt breeze,and face the hardships through our stories and tales....We are charged to keep the mystique goin'. I've met many that have that talent and desire....They're tales live within us, and I feel will never die, lest we let em....As long as we're crazy enough ta teach it, the populace will be lucky enough to learn it. It's up to us all ta make it worth learnin'...... ...........Iron Hand

....Kearney was fun this year...Despite the weather and the amorous pig running amuck at all hours....Tales and Lost Souls made a good showing......Many civilians are really interested in Pyracy, and yes, Little Annie, and the Iron Brigade drew much attention.....As any good Cannoneer would, we drew alot of flack about the noise....and the Rennies(who have no clue about cannons) were constantly grilling us about charge size etc....Pleaaaaase......Vendors were awesome, great prices,etc..........We need to get more Pirates there next year....Feel free to contact Tales or Lost Souls of the Iron Brigade to get on gate lists....LostSouls is a period correct Guild, and Tales is a great group as well..........The real thing is having fun, and promoting Pyracy........IH

This war definately one of the most fun events I've been to since I went on the account...Really seemed well organized....My god, what a professional stage set infront of the Pirates of Emerson's ship....Lots of food vendors,Great entertainment, and what an artillery demonstration on Saturday....We literally rocked the dock with our shore battery....The wind was Hell, but It was really nice to not have to share with the Rennies....All Pirate,All the time.........Arghhh, now that's the stuff dreams are made on.....Iron Hand

I try ta keep away from bein' full of meself...Ya see...The seas,and gallows are full of Pyrates that made a spectical of themselves. I'd rather stay undercover... Ye can't fear what ye know..only what ye don't know..after all...the element of surprise,usually spawns Victory.... And I fer one..Likes to win......Iron Hand

Aye, and I can't believe ye'all didn't break yer damn fool necks....I had a hard enough time sittin' erect in camp Sat.
