  1. Or a TIE Fighter. This was actually my original model. I wanted to use the thing Vader threw Luke through on Bespin in TESB, but that was too complicated to build into a mirror. As it is, I had to eliminate the rounded edge to make the thing easier to build.
  2. Somehow I can't quite picture Foxe quoting Shrek. (Although I could be wrong.) Enemy at the Gate Here's one from a truly awful movie I watched last night because I saw it flipping through the channels and spotted Depp (I suppose that's a hint). "Even Hell has its heroes, seƱor."
  3. *snerk* ? What is *snerk*? (Besides my new favorite word.) Blue Shin Chris. Hmm. It's a good thing it wasn't a more risque part of my anatomy, because then it would be Blue *censored plural male body part* Chris! Great Scott! Lady Seahawk, do I take the differential of the equation before or after I multiply by pi to get my pirate name in your formula?
  4. Very clever! Have I ever told you about the decor for my bathroom?
  5. It is actually from Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. So that makes it... Diego's Turn!
  6. I think you and I are the only ones reading this thread currently, Dorian. My quote (as I think you know) was from Captain Blood. I'm not exactly sure what your quote is from. How about this one: "I can say without fear of contradiction, that under no circumstances, and at no time has that current administration expended any public monies what so ever for the purchase of the fluffy flower print toilet paper."
  7. I don't think they exist. If you think you will someday go to these places, I suggest you will someday go to these places. If you think it will probably never happen, it almost certainly will not. Let me 'splain...no there is too much. Let me sum up. As you think, so shall you be and do.
  8. Up. (I must say I am curious about the name "Dumbass Turtle"...)
  9. You know, I've lived my life according to those lyrics. "Does the hippo see them? Is the poor mute cebu successful in communicating the imminent danger to the other passengers? Is the boy injured? Why is the sad cebu sad? Is the canoe wood or aluminum?" "Oh look! There's me and Bob at Sea World! Oh, wow. Forgot about that one. There's me and that bull again."
  10. Pearl, you braggart you! Some of my favorite places include Nevis, W.I. and Key West. I did not see any fanged jumping spiders whilst in Australia. We travelled Sydney, all over the desert, Cairns and throughout the rainforest up thataway. No fanged jumping spiders. (Alas.) Actually, I was quite shocked at how American it all seemed. There were differences, but not many notable ones. The SCUBA diving was great! We did 10 dives in three days, including night dives and several non-guided dives. Awesome, just awesome. I am already a level 2 diver.
  11. Ok...if you win, you have to post a quote! I mean, jeez... Otherwise, I'm going to once again pick quotes that nobody else seems to know... "Nutall, my lad, just one other little thing. Do you think you can find me a good stout piece of timber? About so thick and so long?" "Yes. I think so." "Then do so and lash it to your spine. It needs stiffening. Courage. We'll join you at midnight."
  12. You best not scratch your head... (I think she may have drawn your hook pointing in the wrong direction.) I agree with Black-Hearted Pearl - a nice balance.
  13. I saw that movie and I didn't recall that quote. Selective deletion? Here's another easy one: "Lighten up, Francis."
  14. Aw, that's too easy... let's see if anyone else knows it.
  15. So it's your turn to come up with a quote, Christine.
  16. Crikey. I guess that quote was too hard - damn near killed the topic. it's from The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. (A strange movie if ever there was one.) Here's a better one. (Yes, a better one!) It should be easy. "I thought pirates had talking parrots as pets." "Talking... parrots?" "What an imagination. First pirates, now talking parrots! What's next? A singing, dancing mouse with his own amusement park?"
  17. Yeah, that happened the other day when we were starting up the nuclear reactor. We forgot to install the neutron sources before withdrawing the control rods. So the subcritical multiplication process didn't occur properly meaning we didn't have enough of a neutron population to accurately monitor the nuclear instruments throughout the startup. It was pretty embarassing actually. Althoug we all glow in the dark now, so that's a plus.
  18. The last show to hook me was Teen Titans. (Duchess, you remind me a wee bit of Raven.)
  19. I remember Traveller! The Sci-Fi D&D game... My group had a lot of fun with it. I have not, however, seen this show. (The only TV I watch is AMC and Cartoon Network. And I seldom watch them.) I have a good friend who really liked the show though. I don't quite remember what she said about it.
  20. Oh, ah. I haven't seen it in movie form and actually didn't know it existed as a movie, but it's from the novel Vile Bodies by Evelyn (who is a guy) Waugh. It's a rather splendid quote IMO, although dentist wouldn't have been my first inclination to use for the second part of it. (Over-rated, some activities seem to me to be.) As for the critic and Tomorrow Never Dies, anything with Jonathan Pryce in it can't be all bad. Try this (now appropriate on several levels) quote: "Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever."
  21. I recognized that wonderful quote, but it took me a minute to figure out why. I don't know which movie that's in (unless it's Little Shop of Horrors ), but it's in my quotes document (an MS Word file now some 70 pages long) as being attributed to writer Evelyn Waugh.
  22. Did you know that Cisco Kid was a series in the 50s? (I imagine you're referring to the one made in the 90s.) Where's Foxe? He should know my quote. BTW, tish, while James Barrie hasn't anything to do with my quote...his initials do. (How's that for a vague hint?)
  23. He was pretty good as a greek smuggler in For Your Eyes Only. Very likable. Smuggling's somewhat akin to piracy, yes? (We're talking about Topov in a thread on Gwen Stefani. )
  24. Nope, my quote is not anything remotely James Barrie-ish, despite the hook and growing up references. However, I notice that I have once again somehow managed to overlook Foxe's follow up quote, so please let's have a go at that: Foxe's quote for guessing: "As John Lennon said: 'I don't believe in isms, I just believe in me'." Is it Ferris Bueller's Day Off? If not, am I close?
  25. Is Sahara a big movie in the UK and Australia? I saw it four times on various plane rides in Oz. (Not that I'm complaining...it was pretty dumb, but fun.) I'll spring another quote on y'all. (You'll probably know this one, Foxe.) "You were pretty good with that hook." "Thanks. It comes from growing up in a rough neighborhood. You were pretty good with the bike." "Thank you. It comes from not growing up at all."
