Wow - to use a colloquialism, that is WAY cool.

Thanks! But no, just an enthusiastic amateur. Back in the Dark Ages, however, I minored in Graphic Design so that's probably helped.

One of my better photos is of Ruby Beach up in Washington. Very atmospheric up there... I don't have that many digital ocean photos. Golden Gate Bridge (okay, technically this is taken within the confines of the San Francisco Bay, but it looks out on the ocean): Here are a couple I took on an anniversary trip up the California coast. These were taken at Anchor Bay:

It's a picture I took when I snuck inside the barracks in Fort Reynolds on Angel Island (that's one of the islands in the Bay of St. Francis.)

I saw "Pirate Tech" - it was great! I'm still kicking myself for not taping it!

When Tia Dalma let the monkey out of the cage, it ran into another room, where there were a couple of boots - no doubt Barbossa's. The monkey most likely gave him the coin he grabbed in the first movie.

If he does that, there will be a lot of VERY unhappy pirates here - especially me. So you're just going to have to visit us! :) More restoration pics:

Yep - me too!

Try Loyalist Arms. Their boarding axe (in the middle) is terrific. It doesn't have one of those ornate spikes in the back - more of a plain, very solid point. Plus it has ears so the axe head is extremely secure. I bought one for Iron Jack for his birthday and he loves it.

53% You are a Novice Monk / Nun in the Temple of Tao. You have selected the Taoist path, but need to get serious about your education in its philosophy and applications. You have already shown quite a few Taoist tendencies and have great potential! Pretty much what I expected. Good quiz!

Jack and I have an inflatable that we tool around in the Redwood Shores lagoons. We're also restoring a 78' hermaphrodite brigantine called the Rendezvous (used to do charters on San Francisco Bay.) It belongs to a man named Andy Gray and we're helping him turn it into a pirate boat.

Hmm... that's true. However, I used to work with a lady from Hawaii and she told me that most of the folks she knew were extremely envious of her moving to the San Francisco area. Seems they like the idea of walking through fog - mysterious and romantic, apparently. Of course, you have to get to San Francisco the right time of year to experience this mysterious and romantic fog (February through June.) On a side note, if you're ever thinking of visiting San Francisco, come in September; the weather is GREAT then.

A few years back, I worked for a company that had to expand a section of the offices. Each person was given several boxes with their assigned number on it and were told to pack up their offices/cubicles. Now normally, most of these folks were reasonably savvy, but being put in familiar situation (moving) in a different context (in the office rather than home) made many of them go stupid. They had been told that everything had to go into a box because the boxes were going to be stacked up in a conference room and that little elves weren't going to magically appear and pack their stuff up for them. Even so, most of them made a real mess of this simple task (lots of of stuff not put into boxes but with labels stuck on them, the most idiotic questions asked over and over and over, that sort of thing.) Such a simple task but beyond their capabilities.

I generally am garbed as a pyrate rather than a wench. On those occasions when I am dressed in a skirt and bodice, most of my accoutrement has sharp edges, so actually calling me a wench could have consequences...

Strong tea also works.

It depends. Comcast is shared, so how fast it goes depends on how many of your neighbors are on it. I've talked to people who have it and they've said that at peak times, the service is S-L-O-W. Sometimes it got so bad they waited until the wee hours to use it (during non-peak times, they said it was very fast.) The comments from these folks convinced me to get DSL. Of course, if you don't have that many neighbors, it won't be as much of an issue.

I used to swim with the dolphins back when I was still with Steinhart Aquarium. One particular trick they did was to swim very quickly toward me and then veer off at the last minute, never quite getting close enough for me to touch them. The seals liked to grab masks and then let go, snapping them back to one's face (ouch!) Their particular specialty was pulling swimsuit bottoms down. Be happy you aren't swimming with seals...

You understand people well and are a natural born therapist. Somewhat true A peacemaker, people always seem to get along when you are around. Or I'll kick their butts... You tend to be a father or mother figure to friends, even to those older than you. Very true - goes for co-workers as well; it's why I've always been a teacher of one sort or another. You enjoy your role, and you find that you are close to many people. Nope, not that many. Your strength: Your devotion Your weakness: Reliance on others for happiness What??? Not kryptonite??? Your power color: Lilac Your power symbol: Heart Your power month: June I guess I should be kicking a$$ this month.
