  1. I know I dated her, at some point. The soft breasts, and all...
  2. Too late, chum! I moved from there 17 years ago! I've got family there, not to mention a Mum with Alzheimer's, that I really need visit. A plus is that she and the other residents will get a kick out of seeing us in pyrate garb. They're planning an entire pyrate film festival prior to our arrival. I'm supplying the better flicks, so they've got incentive to play them. :) Really, we'd love to tear up Lost Wages with the rest of you. I just don't know how much longer me Mum will be around, yeah? :)
  3. I've done the one with raisins in the biscuits! It was "Dead Fly Biscuits", and really tasty.
  4. Yikes! This has all really hit close to home on an old fascination of mine. The paranormal has always been very interesting to me, and every time something I feel is genuine has happened, my reaction has been "OK, now this is strange, but fascinating!" Rarely has it been "Oh, {long string of expletives deleted}!" like you se on TV. If anything has wanted me out, I'm out. No point aggravating something I can't see nor want to see. :)
  5. Full of it? Ever since I was a little scrapper running aroung on a Florida beach with a treasure map and a spyglass. I had one eye on the Moon, and the other on the sea. Life and circumstance kept sweeping me inland. But my heart is always and forever out there, where the Sun kisses the horizon. :)
  6. The Hills Have Eyes {the quintessential nuclear family! }
  7. You're in luck, love! Moustache rides are only 5ยข this week, and you've got a $50 credit!
  8. I could give ye a good and proper tounge lashing, love... :)
  9. This is really, really weird... I've been reorganized into a team that's little more than a placeholder for IT Architects waiting to be assigned to new accounts. I'm getting paid to twiddle my thumbs! WOOHOO!!! It's like working for the government all over again....
  10. There's an old wife's tale about these things going in threes. I may be just an old husband, but I've seen, in the space of just over a week, the passing of My wife's Mum, Doris Don Knotts Kirby Puckett (former Minnesota Twins player and Hall of Famer) Dana Reeve Maybe Doris didn't fall into the scope of the other three as far as impact is concerned, but I've had me bloody fill for a long while.
  11. I want to jump ahead and nominate Petee again, even though he shot me. The damned rum pours out before it hits me belly! :)
  12. I have a talent for mimicking accents and speech patterns. So much so that my native Southern accent has been almost completely sublimated. And my wife can attest to the high probability that one of my Irish ancestors kissed the Blarney stone at least once. :) To be fair, I'm changing me persona to be that of a man from Liverpool. So I'm patterning me brogue after that of a fellow named Derek Acorah, for those who've heard of him. Be sure to ask me to do the "Mary loves Dick" impression sometime...
  13. 8 months?! I could only dream of that! We're going to 3 faires this year; Minnesota, South Dakota, and Alabama. At least it spreads our season from June to October. :)
  14. I've been enjoying a fruity little wine from Iowa called "Barn Dance Red". I can't complain about it at all. Good, as red table wines go. And I'm happily drunk, which makes everything nice. :)

  16. Well. if to only offer me own experience... A group of me mates were touring St. Augustine Fort some 25 years ago. We entered the Chapel area, and decided to hop the stantions and travel the long (150 metre) hallway to the old cloisters. About midway through, we were passed by a monk, clad in brown broadcloth or wool, an as we turned to watch him pass, he vanished. Dissapated, as it were, into the thin air. There was not other available exit, and we all had our eyes on him to see if he'd alert the docents. He just "melted" into the sunbeams. We turn about and ran from the place, all 6 of us exclaiming how utterly cold we were. The date was June 16th, 1981. I've no evidence beyond me own words. But that's the truth of it, and I'll stake me own life on it's veracity.

  18. Night vision lighting reacts strongly with the retina of eye. Makes a nice glowing effect. Given that the girl was in darkness, then looked immediately into the light, her pupils would have been dilated, enhancing the "demon eyes" effect. Now, if she'd levitated and spouted gutteral epithets in Aramaic, then I'd say they'd gotten something. I admit to watching "Most Haunted", but I do get tired of "investigators" soiling themselves every time someone scuffs their feet.
