  5. Ahhh...but even back in the day most sailors on private vessels were not concerned with proper ediquite. In the tropics alot o' sailors wore them without breeches and maybe even without a shirt. Gets pretty hot in the carribbean. If'n ya can't find a pattern, or your not so good wit a thread an a needle, shoot me a message an I kin make a proper pair fer ye. Jus' need yer waist an inseam measurements. Made a pair fer meself an now I hardly ever wear me breeches anymore. Slops are jus' so much more comfortable...

Cap'n have ya got any word on flat hats fer the voyage...kin we purchase them...are there different sizes available...or should we be think'n o' wear'n somthing different.
  20. Aye mate...an lots an lots o' rum too... Drink'n rum an plunder'n be far better than argue'n, says I. Bartender!...grog all around fer this fine scurvy crew...
  21. Depends on how well the pattern is made...I made a pair recently from what I found out was a really bad pattern...terrible fit  ...had to scrap the whole project. The next pattern I purchased is mid to late 1600's and yes they are baggy and tight right at the knee. Felt realy funny at first but then I noticed once I whore them sailing the extra room was extremly comfortable. You can squat, climb rigging, pull lines, run, jump, just about anything you need to do. Now I wouldn't want ta trade them for modern tight fitting pants...Sailing anyways. Long story short, keep wearing them you do get used ta them. :)
  22. Aye Redd...I must 'eartily agree. Ter go down in 'istory fer sure. Stumblin off ta sleep wit a belly full o' rum not know'n where half yer gear be an not ta be care'n either. A fine pyrate crew indeed...take'n me a few days ta repair an refit meself... An I must say I agree wit ye 'bout hike'n our broadsides or the windward gunale hang'n on ta the shrouds an drive'n through sea like Moby Dick himself....Ahhhhhh, I LOVE IT!!!! No fine'er place in da whole world ta be, says I... Already look'n for ta the next account... An hearty "THANKS" ta Quill fer pull'n the whole thing together... , an Cap'n too fer make'n it all possible... An the whole scurvy crew o' the Royaliste for a most prosperous account...Long Live the Royaliste, an may she always find fair winds an a follow'n sea...
  23. Aye Cap'n...me thinks it could be the wifey's. Don't recall see'n her's when I got her packed up on Sunday morn. I be talk'n wit her later ta see fer sure, If so we'll pick it up come our next account. P.S. Hope the storm damage wasn't too severe an seadog's feel'n abit more seaworthy now.
