  1. Give us a shout and we be puttin together a fine day of piracy for ye.
  2. Rum be on me next time we meet.
  3. Work is crazy busy! Want the Pirate company to take off So I don't really have to work, just play.

  4. Aye, ya will. Say ello to your lovely bride for me.
  5. Avast, grab those forward lines and heave too. I be Antonio Gumbatz the Italian Pirate. Along with me wife Bawdy Anne we be makin port in Jacksonville FL. We be pirate actors, live steel performers and instructors, black powder capable and management willing. (As well as accomplished cooks and bakers) We put ashore here in FL over a year ago. Originally from Mass, moved to Maine and sailed with the likes of Crudbeard for a while. We likesed the warmth and sailed south to Jacksonville. We are here to learn from the best and help anyway we can to promote harmony and unity within the Pirate community. We have had the honor of working with a few of you, Capt Sterling and Ma'ad Dogge in Port Washington a few years back, and more of ye that I knew not your name. We have performed up and down the coast and we look forward to many more adventures. Fair winds and following seas!
  6. That would be a Thighbiter lyric, I do believe? Captain?
  7. Aye, Keep the Plundering Pirates in the loop, we will bring the Rum, and maybe venison.
  8. Aye Jas. Hook, it tis. I scrounged a bottle meself and found it to be heavy on the molasses and Cherry. Good on ice, smooths the bite.
  9. As a festival co-ordinator, we also have to follow the city's ordinances and rules. Some allow weapons, some do not. One of the events I put on allowed patrons to carry swords, but not a single vendor could sell one. Didn't quite make sense, but had to follow their rules to get permits, police etc. It really has no rhyme or reason, just the whim of the city or town.
  10. Eye, Shipmate! T'was said well and true. While all the while we 'ave our merriment, Lo t'would be for a mishap with said weapons. Be safe first and fun t'will follow. As for dress in heat. When serving aboard the "Meka"II, in Battle my garb is Slops, belt and charge pouch. Small arms are handy and nearby and "Slowmatch" our Powder Monkey is always there when you turn to call him! With Charges!! Period footware is nothing, as hard sole shoes will be like walking on ice. It's the same with rope sandles. Traditionally, Sailors often made shoes out of old sail cloth as they had some "non-skid" to them. Other garments were more often "Shore Togs" and not worn aboard ship. Aye it only takes "one" to becalm an event. I have been weapons Marshall as well as black powder Marshall for several events and it is amazing who has weapons and shouldn't. We need to police ourselves and watch each others back. NEVER drink if your hired to do a job, cardinal rule number one. Plenty of time for that after the event.
  11. Yankees is a term "used" by southerners to talk about northerners. Yankees come here for the winter and go home......D**n Yankees move here and stay.... Being a Yankee who moved south, I have heard this more than a few times....
  12. Iron Tom, The two most reliable "dealers" would be Middlesex Trading http://www.middlesexvillagetrading.com/ and Loyalist Arms http://www.loyalistarms.com/. Personally my crew has bought about 12 arms from Loyalist and all are very well done. Both would probably cut you a deal if you told them it was for education. Hope this helps. Tell em the pirates sent you.
  13. Bein from Maine, Put a lobster in his britches, put a lobster in his britches
  14. Aye, Here in St Augustine we have Hurricane Patties. She be a pub/restaurant. It sits on the water and looks like the inside of a ship or a seaside tavern of the time. With Pirate statues, cannons, rope rigging and such. Yea can sit on the dock and watch the ships pass by. Food is good, Rum is better.
  15. Well, I design and sell security systems to people like: The Gov't, Military, large corporations. Ohh and i also do festival management.
