  1. Captain Sterling,

Wanted to make an official post here. I have been in contact with Spike, and the Crew of the Harbinger would like to make a request for space. I am attempting to get a full head count, but as it stands right now, If we could, please put us down for a 8x6 tent space and a 10x10 common area (tarped and appropriated).

I should have an official head count shortly. I am a little behind the clock with the organization of this and am working with aplomb to make up fer lettin the wind spill from me sails.

Now I say this knowing this be not the place, but who/where/how do I speak to regarding black powder permits/participation/saftey check fer me crew mates and I who are looking to participate?

  5. Thanks so much! That is great information. I have already copied and pasted your post into an email to several of me mates. I have also gotten meself on to the waiting list. I have emails back from Rob Croskery and Michael Gavin. You guys are ON IT!

  6. So I am to understand that only the VIP level allowed access to the Adventurers Club party?

Additionally, there are only 20 spots available for the Open House as well.

It is really unfortunate, as I was speaking to many folks here in Tampa and Orlando last weekend at the closing of BARF who where all very interested in attending. We where hoping to have a group of 10-20 of us descend. I had no idea that it would be such an "intimate" group!

Gonna try to make this my Halloween costume this year. I loves me some HQ, and this incarnation looked a bit steamy.

Uhmm, I may need to get more into comics. OMG that is HOT!

Oh, and I did find a full length shot of you two...

  8. In case anyone didn't see Mae and Brig's outfits for the dance competition, I'll post them here (would you believe I just found this thread)

Unfortunately I never got them both from head to toe. This is the closest. (Excuse the goofy guy in the middle).

Many folks at BARF have been asking about the Steampunk Twins last weekend.

  9. Well, by the time you guys return to BARF, you may have reached the level of "LEGEND!"

And it was most kind of you to give me a credit. You actually choked me up a bit this morning. I am SO glad to have been there!

Hope to see you all soon again!

  10. Three Cheers to our very own Mae and Brig for winning 1st place in the Duets category at the Bay Area Ren Festival Bellydacncing Competition yesterday.

Not only did the win in style, the did it AIRSHIP Pirate Style!

It was a grand thing to see, and I only wish I had a video camera to capture it. I got some shots of the winning team after though...

  11. Sure. The part that is refered to as the Long John Silver is the guard. Here is the LJS on a slightly curved blade with a narrow fuller up the spine.

    That what you meant?

    OH YEAH! Thats the one...

    **Drools onto self**

I am in LOVE! I am saving me pennies...

  12. Anyone get a chance to stop by any of the sword booths? I think I have 3 guys doing that show that all carry my work. I have sent some pretty crazy items down to FL this year.

I heard that at the ft.L show a pair of custom cutlasses with a "twist" theme sold last weekend. Curious if I know the new owner.

    Hey Matt,

Was at BARF last weekend in Tampa and there was some pretty cool cutlasses at Starfire forge. They seemed to be a bit ornate compared to the rest of the wares that they had. I saw one that they called the Long John Silver style that was pretty cool. Another had a skull as a counter balance and an open had guard.

Yup those were mine. The starfire dealer down there sells both starfire and my stuff (BKS). Its easy to tell, but incase you have trouble just look for the BKS stamp on the blade.

Was the Long John Silver yours? I fell in LOVE with that. Do you have a picture?

  14. Brig,

The weekend after next is the last weekend to bring 4 can goods and get buy one get one free admission.

Also, you can give blood that weekend to get free admission (at least that is what I was told last weekend.)

There is a vendor at BARF who has an assortment of Steampunk accessories (goggles, masks, gear stuff...)

  15. I have to bail. Unfortunately, I got my dates crossed and this weekend is the opening weekend of the Bay Area Ren Faire that I am committed to attend.

You all have a blast. I was very much looking to raising a flagon with ye all in the flesh
