  1. So far no more buckles, my new job is not allowing me time to make more designs. I have only one Spanish buckle left ( but it has a cracked center rod, I will heliarch weld it) . Still have six English buckles to sell.
  2. I sent you the Paypal info in a private message
  3. That is awesome :) . The buckle looks mighty fine on ya
  4. The English belt buckle can work as a baldric buckle giving a half inch on either side of a 3 inch belt. The space inside can accept up to a 4 inch width.
  5. I decided to go with modified steel cotter pins. I tried it out on all three of the designs and so far it works and looks great. Thanks for the help guys.
  6. I'm currently working on the buckle center pin. I have encountered a problem though and I need your help. I've been using brass rod and it will not handle the bends needed and keeps breaking. Dont know of any place that carries bronze rod. I can make them out of steel if that is not a problem.
  7. I have not petinaed the Spanish buckles due to the nature of the design I have wire brushed them that gives them a semi polished apperance. The French buckles are all petinaed and all the English are green petinaed. The Spanish as you see it in the pic still has some of the original fire scale to it from casting giving it a darker patinaed look even though I did wire brush it as well. Over time being bronze it will darken naturally as time passed and you can choose to repolish as you desire. The other two that are petinaed I would not suggest polishing but you can make them shinnier.
  8. All the Spanish buckles are sold. I now have all the buckles in from the foundry and am currently putting the finishing touches on them such as the tongs and petina. Will start sending them out through out next week. I'm excited to get these out there.
  9. I only have one Spanish buckle left. In the future more will be made but only depending on the demand. Still have more French and English to move out the door.
  10. Just got off the phone with the foundry and he said the buckles will be cast first thing next week. The molds have already been made.
  11. They are in Wisconsin. I went with them because they are the closest lost wax casting company to where I live.
  12. I will call the casting company on wednesday for a status update. They contacted me a couple days after they received the buckles and said that the buckles had started the mold process. With fingers crossed I'm hoping they will be done before his first estimated time. Will let you Know what I find out.
  13. It will be five weeks and the buckles will be done. There will only be 10 of each made in the first run. So It will be first come first serve basis. Some designs have have been spoken for by the posts on this thread. I will post a pic to show the names of each buckle with dimensions and price. I hope the mods don't mind. When I run out it may be some time before more are made again possibly 6 months or less.
  14. The buckles are currently being cast in larger numbers. As soon as they return I'll add the petina and let everyone know that they are open for purchase. I'll post payment options and shipping Info. I'm very exited to finally get these out there.
  15. Update time, I am going to get in contact with the company that will cast the three buckle designs I currently have now and get the ball rolling. I will announce the cost and take pre orders. I will then use that money to have the buckles cast in a larger quantities and use a little $ for materials for future buckle designs. I have a Paypal account as well for those that want to go that route. The three buckles I have now are all for the same size buldric width.I will make larger sizes in the future but they will be a different design buckle.
  16. Not until I get a quote from the place that will do the casting. Profit is not my goal with these I just need enough to put back into creating more designs.
  17. I wish I could start selling these now. But I'm saving up enough $ to have a company lost cast 20 of each of my designs to start with.
  18. Aye. And it's cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey! Tips and keepers will be done you can count it.
  19. I used the buckle design Jib got from me for Halloween. Took some pictures so everyone can see what it looks like on a baldric. I had my baldric made so I can switch out buckle designs.
  20. Very cool that one looks like it was done by the very same artist as the last one I completed. Keep em coming.
  21. Ohhh another nice one I will make that one too within the next few months
