  1. Say, how do you go about getting a job as a reverend? At least you would think there would be a lot of call for that sort of job these days. (Not that I could be a reverend, mind you.)

We send out resumes like everyone else, though we also go through a harder interview process I believe

  2. Sorry for not being around as much or prolific as I have been in the past. I've been busy getting ready to graduate and get out into the job sector, which as ye all can believe has kept me running in circles. Anyway, I am writing to say that the madness is nigh over, an I will be back running amuck again soon.

  4. Ahoy mates!

I be havin' a foine flintlock pistol [repro o'course, not havin' enough coin fer a real piece], but after carryin' the bloody thing all day tucked in me belt, I find a dark brown stain on me shirt. Now normally I could care less, be me lady insists on washing me shirts. Since it seems to be the pistol that is causin' this stain. How do I keep it from doing that. I don't want to dismantle it and painting with shellac something is not allowed in me cabin. Ideas anyone???

last tyme me"pistol" left a "dark stain" on me shirt....had to go to the Doctors for a shot.....

    Beat me t' the joke

  5. You look awesome Brig! I can't wait to see it all in person!

(And dread falls with kanekalon aren't hard, they just take lots of time. I also have tons that I braid directly into my hair, that I can then wear loose/down/etc)

Thanks, Jessi! I'm really looking forward to Saturday. It'll be great to hang out with everyone again!

Outstanding, Brig! And I see you are another fan of cargo pants.

Haha, yes! You were my inspiration...imitation, flattery, etc. ;)

    Very cool!

    I love the look Brig!

Thank you, Rev. Now when are you coming to an event with us?!

Soon I hope. I know I can't make Searle's, but I'd love to come out for whatever be next an all.

  6. In my experience more re-enactors DON'T ever use their swords for stage combat than do... And hip hangers are a heck of a lot cheaper than decent stage steel...

But if you do intend to eventually get into stage or re-encatment combat, save you pennies and get a good stage steel weapon.

Yar, but where can ye find a good stage use blade, so if you do re-eact with it, y' don't have to worry for breakage or worse?

See that is what I thought, I've been curious though, as I know some do, do sword fights here and there.

Damn me own stage combat history for being intrigued

  7. I assume anyone from either the Blue or the grey would be welcomed?

Well the War is over....

The Union of the United States and the Confederacy of the United States aren't exactly on "Speaking terms".... but Governments get funny about that sorta thing.....

I figured as much, Sir, I think I might have a character fer, which I have been havin trouble, workin out. Now it all comes clear

  8. Here's pics of my Cigarbox guitar for those curious as to how it looks/works

A screw bridge and drawn in frets

That is the Cyclops eye on the top of the fretboard (Named the Cyclops by the maker)

The body and yes there are pick ups so you can plug in and rock out too.

And that is me, in case people forgot. lol

  9. I know I have told Nell this, but I play bass. I currently have one accoustic and an Ibanez, with a P&J pickups. It has a skull and crossbones on the body, so it is aptly named Pirate bass.

Other than that I play a Cigarbox guitar, which works like a Diddley Bo
