I meant to post this up a long time ago, but I be the biggest procrastinator around, mates. So, I apologize for the late post. Anywho, on TLAPD I got my whole Starbucks crew into the fancy. It was loads of fun. My sister took the Starbucks logo and made a pirate version on poster board, and people brought in various items to wear (we went all out!) Here be a coupla' photos for ya. Most of our customers loved it and many played along with us. Ordering pastries, I'd ask, "Is this for here, or for the high seas?" And 'course I'd wish there day be full o' pirate swag as they left. Ahoy Mates! Here's asking for your prayers for Salty as she goes into surgery today to have an enlarged thyroid removed. It has grown to rather extreme proportions and it has be removed because it has begun to obstruct her airway and her larynx. She'll be in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. I just realized that it has just been over 5 years that I have been dropping in here for a dose of all things 'Pirate'. The Pyracy Pub has grown and gone in many directions, evolved if you will to what it is today, but how did we get here? I am a little foggy on even how I stumbled in, (maybe too much rum? naw, that couldn't be it I seem to remember getting an invitation, not sure from who, or what the connection was, but glad that I did. ahoy mates... permission to come aboard... been a closet pirate for years until i chanced upon the st. louis pirate festival... it was there that i realized that "we are not alone " since then, i have acquired most of the tools o'the trade. our kids really enjoy the festivals and my wife is slowly getting into things. there are no recent pics of me for my avatar, but there is a pic of one of my crew sporting my hat and boots in my bio. hoping to make a few more friends, get advice and have a good time here.. when i figger it out, i'll post post a link to my pics of us at the pirate festivals... thanks again count de monet

subtitledL: old pirates don't die, they just smell that way. I've been monstrously busy, thinking I was making another crew to add to the Midwest Fleet. It hasnt happened yet, but I', hoping that I can add a few (dead) souls to the crew of the FG. I"m also getting (hopefully) my house fixed up to sell this spring, and an end to the (justabout) ex. Alright all you proud Pirate mates, Uncles and Aunts.... I just got a call from CNN in New York. They spotted the Picture of Pirate Phoebe in her *Gacky* Easter Bunny Ears..... (just like her Uncle Adam said would happen) and are going to have her on the front page of thier *Off Beat* section on the CNN News Web Site next Weds. : ) Stop off and have a look at our Pirate girl next week as it's like may never come again! Eye have been growing a beard for awhile now and so it is for me a natural thing to wanna attach beads in a few strands ~ And No this ain't like a Jack Sparrow! I'm doing my own gig here.. for Escondito and PirateCon.. I have tried tieing beads on with string with some sucess but it is time consuming. Some slippage wil occur. So I tried some mini plasctic clamp thingies but they just slide out of the hair and will not support the weight of the beads.. Any one ever try this and what did ya do to get it to work? As an historical Question..What Real pirate ever did this in the first place?
