I was thinking about that and I know one thing foe sure...

Errr... I still have 18 years to go but I dream of....

1] The Alarm clock will be blown up in my back yard with at least an M-80 !

2] A bottle of honest to goodness Rum! I will kiss sobriety away for a day!

3] sleep of the hang over !

4] Perhaps I think on this more and find a more exciting way to go....

beats thinkin of the ~~~ goddess....

Hangin at Execution dock awaits. May yer Life be a long and joyous adventure in gettin there!
As he was about to face the gallows there, the pirate is said to have tossed a sheaf of papers into the crowd, taunting his audience with these final words:

"My treasure to he who can understand."

Not sure if I'll ever really retire - most likely I'll start doing something else. Jack and I have kicked around an idea for a business that will utilise both our talents and be a heck of a lot of fun. We're both the kind of people who actually want to keep busy, even when we're older.

But some decompression time will definitely be in order.

Let's see...

I would set my own hours, wake when I wanted to, nap in the afternoon, work when I wanted to.

Go pirating whenever I wanted.

Vacation on other people's dime and go whenever and wherever I could.

Have a drink any time I wanted to, even during "working hours."

Oh, I already do that... guess I'm retired by definition.

I'm fortunate enough to work at home with a view of the palm trees out my windows. Can't imagine things ever being better than this... :)

January 18 2014, Six years, 343 days to go. But who's counting?

I figure to throw my badge and gear on the Chief's desk. I'll dump the contents of my locker into the dumpster. A little judicious placement of super glue in the appropriate locations. Then I'll flip a bird to City Hall on the way out of that cursed dung heap for the last time.

After that, the entire little pile of refuse could slide into the river never to be seen again and I wouldn't shed a tear.

I can't retire..... don't have any money saved up for it..... one of the "kinda sux to be semi-independently self employed in an artistic field" kinda things.....

But.... I'm working on a plan where I can keep working, and cut my living expenses... so at half my normal work, I can still live comfortably..... hey... it gives me something to do........

The biggest flaw to the whole idea, is keeping my Boss alive long enough so I can keep working..........

  • 2 weeks later...
That DAY?

Sleep late. Maybe avoid the problem of getting out of bed altogether!

Capt. William

AFTER that day: read a lot. Keep my house clean. Do some gardening. Do a lot of reenacting. And be perfectly content.

I agree, artists never retire. It's in our blood. The morticians will probaby have to pry either a brush or a pen out my cold, dead hand. But that's okay, because I enjoy the artistic life, and couldn't give it up, even if I wanted to..which I don't.

I plan to go during an enfilade.

An enfilade aye?

That's two with the dictionary in as many years Capitaine Brand...

If I was to go as such...

It would be bringing all Rome with me in flames..... :o

Speaking of flames...I've asked my friend Mike to do me the honor of a proper viking funeral with a burning ship and a drunken funeral party. He has promised to steal my body and take it to the gulf of Mexico for this very purpose.
