Merrydeath
Merrydeath . . . do you have a favorite "Blackbead's Favorite Punch" recipe? Favorite "BFP" story?Blackbead 3 fresh mint sprigs 2 tsp sugar 3 tbsp fresh lime juice 1 1/2 oz light rum club soda In a tall thin glass, crush part of the mint with a fork to coat the inside. Add the sugar and lime juice and stir thoroughly. Top with ice. Add rum and mix. Top off with *chilled* club soda (or seltzer). Add a lime slice and the remaining mint, and serve. Serve in: Parfait Glass Now then, about the story. I was in Key West walking Duval with a rather tall jolly pirate of the crew. Two very pretty women start talking to us about our garb and such, and pretty soon we find out that they are in lust for each other and are lesbians.. no problem. as we said many a time that weekend.. Mojitos good. Mojitos bought by friendly lesbians.. Very Good! I like my partner to be male and fun and witty and romantic. and Very Male. :) Pirate Lass with sass, brass, a cutlass, an a nice *ss. Blackbead
ROTFLOL!! I love the story and I'll try the recipe. With Mojitos becoming so damn popular these days you can find them almost anywhere. There's even a mint rum that you can buy and just add some Sprite if you want the "flavor" of the original. It's not too bad but I have a problem finding the Sprite . . . too many damn Pixies and Nyads around me island! A fair wind and a fat merchantman to ye! Mary Diamond
Right you are, Silkie ~ we didn't formally meet. PiP was our first venture into pirates and re-enactments. I know the skirt and boots were OOP, but we were welcomed in nonetheless (better than the "fashion" pirates, I guess - goodness, what a sight they were!). We'll be attending PiP 2007, should you be there, please give us a holler! Oooh, shiny!
