Cap'n Pete Straw
Does pneumonia count? What? I just got rid of my pneumonia in time for Christmas! Maybe you got mine. Cap'n Pete Straw
Pirate stuff: "Pirates of the Caribbean II" on DVD. 3 copies, and no gift receipts. A pirate (skull and crossbones) car air freshener. A "Bling" pirate kit, with eyepatch, earring, and some other kid's stuff. "Pirates of the Caribbean" Monopoly. Non-pirate stuff: "Star Trek: The Animated Series" on DVD. "Six Feet Under" season three on DVD. "Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law" season two on DVD. "Superman" seasons one and two on DVD (the 1950s TV series). An AWESOME Guinness blackboard thingie for my non-existant bar. A bag of Circus Peanuts. Lots and lots of cashews (gourmet ones from an excellent company on the East Coast). Book: "Phantom Army of the Civil War." Book: "The Fencing Master." Two packages of underwear (My favorite!). Bagpipes (waiting for delivery...). ...And this does not count the stuff I bought for myself ... which I why I told everyone not to bother getting me much (spend it on my kids instead), as I have purchased so much for myself already. Capt. Sterling
Does pneumonia count? What? I just got rid of my pneumonia in time for Christmas! Maybe you got mine. I wish I could blame you! "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers Crewe of the Archangel http://jcsterlingcptarchang.wix.com/creweofthearchangel# http://creweofthearchangel.wordpress.com/

Quartermaster James
Well, my only truly pyratey gifts I got from me Secret Santa. Thanks again Rumba! I also got a tavern pipe: Which is almost pyratey! And some cash, which I was counting on, and which I "pre-spent" on a period shirt from Kass. And I got a 23 quart pressure canner, which I have wanted since, like, forever! And some really cool Chinese tea aged in a pomelo shell, along with a new tea mug. And a battery powered tape measure (who would'a thunk it!) And some peanuts and brittle from a fancy Virginia peanut company. And some wine, an ornament, some cookies and other treats. And, yes, that dreaded stomach bug that's going around!
Duchess
I have to confess it was definately my year to get spoiled with presents, though none expect Patrick's excellent ditty bag were pirate related. I got a used ham radio set up (icom 706mkII and an AH-4 tuner), which I'm planing to start setting up this weekend, but need to hide from landlord type people. Any other hams on the board? Some ridiculously expensive framing for a tapestry I bought at a garage sale. Some sweaters, a new video game and DVD's. My sister even made me a new set of mittens! Two Tree of Life, Hand of Fate 1869 molded glass serving stands and a bunch of little stuff. In my family we sort of rotate through, one person really gets spolied everyone else gets little stuff. We never discuss it but somehow we're all in tune. This year was mine. Mawhaaaaaa. I'm not sure why that need evil laughter...
Sjöröveren
Nothing particularly piratical for me, just a couple of nice sweaters and a gift card from JC Penney's. I really need a new winter coat, although I really want a tarpaulin jacket or a harpoon. They don't seem to carry the really good stuff at Penney's. I got a book of some interest to any of the ship's surgeon's out there: "Atlas of Human Anatomy and Surgery" a repro with color plates from 1831-1854. A bit later than GAoP, but still very interesting. $25 at Barnes & Noble, with many copies unsold. I got Red Bess something piratey, but I'll let her tell ye about it. the Fool's Gold Pirates
