The Doctor
I've been mapping out the shore excursions on our upcoming cruise using Google Earth. :) Yo ho ho! Or does nobody actually say that?
jim hawkins
Me! Use it at work too. Tho I prefer NASA's World Wind . GE tends more towards travel/commercial uses, WW tends more towards Earth Science.

jim hawkins
Aye it is. Whereas Google Earth will do add-ons like where all the starbucks are, World Wind will do add-ons where all the volcanoes are. World Wind
Red Cat Jenny
Wow Jim a nice resource! I was using GE to tour the islands but I will try this one. Don't need to map Starbucks LOL Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.... Her reputation was her livelihood. I'm a pirate, love. By nature and by choice! My inner voice sometimes has an accent! My wont? A delicious rip in time...
Barbados Sam
I use it for Geocaching. It has a version that shows cache locations. Very cool! "There be the chest, inside be the gold, we took them all. Spent them and traded them. We frittered them away on drink and food and pleasurable company. The more we gave them away, the more we came to realize... the drink would not satisfy, food turned to ash in our mouths, and all the pleasurable company in the world could not slake our lust. We are cursed men....Compelled by greed we were, and now we are consumed by it."
MajorChaos
Aye it is. Whereas Google Earth will do add-ons like where all the starbucks are, World Wind will do add-ons where all the volcanoes are. World Wind Google earth has a few add-on overlays or whatever they call them. There's ones for meteor craters, volvanos, planes in flight, wierd anomolies, strange markings etc. check out: http://www.googleearthhacks.com/ and http://www.gearthblog.com/ Chaos, panic, pandemonium - my work here is done. Matusalem
My dad's boat is not in the slip at his marina so I know he's out pirating somewhere in the Chesapeake bay. I surely wish the Bahamas and the UK would have better resolution on ther sat photos, it's so hard to see Southampton or Bristol up close.
