Hester
Changed my mind. We're having crab boil -- whole Klondike Rose potatoes, corn oN the cob, and frozen snow crab legs, all in one pot. But damn, it's taking a long time to boil, and I'm STARVING!
Hester
crab boil -- Well, that was fun. The crab legs even had little barnacles on them -- so I felt like I was eating the crew of The Flying Dutchman.
Hester
I'm even a day ahead... I've just finished assembling a rabbit pie for supper tomorrow, and it's waiting in the fridge. I'll bake it tomorrow and serve it with fresh local asperagus. Tonight, though, it's a belated Canadian Thanksgiving dinner: Turkey thighs, roasted on a bed of skirlie (Scottish oatmeal stuffing) baked Klondike Rose potatoes Sweet Dumpling squash peas gravy cranberry sauce
Rumba Rue
skirlie sounds interesting- read the ingrediants- I'm afraid the only suet we get around here is for the birds. I'm making stir fry tonight using left over pork roast.

Hey, Rumba: Not to worry, my family long ago Canadianized it by substituting butter for the suet. Cheers, Hester
