Ransom Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Yeah, the psycho puritan would make a great character. You really ought to roll with that and come up with something. After all, you already have the hat. Something to think about for Halloween as well.....maybe? ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... You can do everything right, strictly according to procedure, on the ocean, and it'll still kill you. Capt. Sterling Posted August 15, 2008 Author Posted August 15, 2008 Hmmm not a bad idea... I finally get to take the kids trick or treating...been years since I was home to do so... Capt. Sterling Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 Careful folks.... we now have a PG-13 rating... does anyone know exactly what that entails, especially after watching some of the more current PG-13 films? (Which included everything but hard core porn) "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... Ransom Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 I'm not worried about it. We've never gone X-rated in PR, or any of the stories, nor have we stepped over the line with language. Trust me, whatever erotic scenes we've done, and they have been rare, wouldn't faze an under 13 year old these days. They get more violence and sex on TV and video games than what they would get here. Also, we've been quite good about policing ourselves, and we aren't stupid. The only ones to feel a bit siffled might be the Irish twins. LOL And I'm sure they can adapt without too much trouble......maybe....if we bribe them with beer. ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... The Doctor Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Popping in for just a moment... Ransom's right. You do a splendid job of self-policing, and everything's been tasteful. Believe me, I'm the last person you'll find turning into a dilettante over such things! Just ask Honour Bright... I'm really enjoying the story, by the way! Yo ho ho! Or does nobody actually say that?
Capt. Sterling Posted September 26, 2008 Author Posted September 26, 2008 Thanks Jack for clarifying... Lill, looks like yer "back" in business... RustyNell Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 (edited) Ok so i've been reading and would like to work my character in but I'm finding it difficult to just inject myself into the story line. Don't want to be rude! LOL though Rusty isn't exactly one to watch her p's and q's .....shes used to being around drunks after all....anyway I left a loose character bio in the bio section.... but unless y'all patronize my pub I'm having a hard time figuring out how to jump in... I mean Rusty wouldn't OUT her customers if you know what i mean at least not in public.... Oh Ok that gives me an idea... I'll read some more and try.... Great read and a lot of great writing going on in here guys! HUZZAH! Edited December 19, 2008 by RustyNell “PIRACY, n. Commerce without its folly-swaddles, just as God made it.” Ambrose Bierce
Cheeky Actress Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Welcome to "Port Royal" RustyNell, my girl! Jump in with both feet and don't be shy. This is why this thread was created. It is to help those with questions about time, placement, position and direction. Ask away. Now, even though you are a 'pub owner' - I think you would be also busy about town purchasing rum, ale, beer and other items for your establishment. So, you would be out and about. You would deal with the locals; such as merchants, vendors and do not forget...the shady side of the business. You are a source of news...and gossip. If you had your fingers into shady trades/deals...you'd probably know what and who was doing what in your backyard. So, read up on the storyline (gosh, do you have time?) and then jump on in and play! Again, we happy to have ya... Member of "The Forsaken"

Ransom Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 I kinda hate to say it, Cheeky, but it doesn't appear than anyone is interested in keeping this story going. If they were, they would post. Sebastian and I tried to limp it along for awhile, but two people can't carry a story for very long. Apparently it is a case of two many events and not enough time. Understandable, but a little sad, considering how long we all kept this saga rolling. Ah well. ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... Capt. Sterling Posted March 9, 2009 Author Posted March 9, 2009 agreed and with Sebastian back in school... I would think this story is dead in the water "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers Crewe of the Archangel http://jcsterlingcptarchang.wix.com/creweofthearchangel# http://creweofthearchangel.wordpress.com/
LadyBarbossa Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Hmm... I've been pondering it for a while and thinking about getting back into the story. Perhaps add a bit of flavor and spice to the fun. What say ye? Cause some troubles for Sterling (Pirate for the Pirate Hunter to hunt), worries for Cheeky(any price on Lily's head?), and fun for all. Maybe give an opportunity for Nell to slip in as well. Last I had Lady B in this story... she was heading out to sea. So... she could be returning after all this time. Oh, what... been a year? Or two? ... since she's been in this particular port. Someone want to update me on the date and verify the location (be it really Port Royal?) ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" Capt. Sterling Posted March 22, 2009 Author Posted March 22, 2009 Sorry Lady B, but I am now committed to writing else where and with the active season kicking in again, even that one is going to take a back seat occasionally, coming back to this one... just isn't in the game plan. LadyBarbossa Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Oh, well... tis ok. Perhap later on in the year or two. ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" "I'm completely innocent of whatever crime I've committed." The one, the only,... the infamous!
