Ransom
Port Royal dead! NEVER. After having just spent four days on a boat, during rain and gale force winds (we stayed safely tied to the dock and just hung out), I now have a better idea of what Ransom and the Rakehell are going through - or survived - during the hurricane. Horizontal rain is so interesting. One gust nearly blew me off the dock ramp as my husband and I were coming back from dinner at a nearby restaurant. On Monday I had to call the marina office to report that the boom on a sailboat behind us had come lose and was wagging back and forth, threatening to decapitate the mast on the sailboat moored next to him. Never a dull moment. The marine weather channel reported offshore for Charleston/Coos Bay 22-26 foot swells, 26 foot surf, and 60 mph wind gusts. Said combined seas were 32-36 feet. Yikes! Welcome, Lilith, and have no fear. Port Royal is alive and well, just on holiday hiatus. ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... You can do everything right, strictly according to procedure, on the ocean, and it'll still kill you. But if you're a good navigator, a least you'll know where you were when you died.......From The Ship Killer by Justin Scott. Capt. Sterling
Hey its hard work getting hanged three times in one day... okay resuced the last time but not until after stepping off into thin air...... dying wears one out so One must sleep sometime to recoup, either that or learn not to get caught so often.. But thank you! "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... Cheeky Actress
Hmm...I'm confused. Looking at the photo attached I don't think he's in a good state at all. Sleeping? I'm not sure being hit in arm (bleeding too) makes one take a nap. Did you change your picture recently? Member of "The Forsaken"
Ransom
This picture make it look like he's hung up in the rigging - or in a big spider web! Or are those things tree branches? Capt. Sterling
And a welcome back to Dan as well... okay any ideas for a plot twist, I'm getting stuck and bored... although I don't mind being happily married I have no intentions on living on dry land and becoming a farmer... horrors... and with poor Sir Henry completely tied up with life, attacking the spanish doesn't look too good right now... Ransom
Okay, we've had fire and a hurricane. Maybe we need to delve into the history of PR and see if there was an attack on the port? Spanish? English? Anybody? As for Ransom and the Rakehell, I still have half a cargo of arms and powder to be unloaded by the Devareaux's gang. Until that happens, I'm stuck in PR. Afterwards, I was contemplating a bit of smuggling to earn a little of the shiny. However, I'm open for suggestions. It better be good though, to pull me away from the Beggar Prince! And I second the Captain. Welcome back Dan! ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... CrazyCholeBlack
Well....we're not hurting for plots & plans, at least I'm not yet Personally I'd like to settle a little after the storm, get that Spanish sabotage underway & maybe we'll get the chance to see that pretty little ship of theirs sometime soon. If La Alma shows up on the horizon, imagine the panic that it could incite in the city. Damaged from the storm, no sign of Sir Henry & a Spanish ship looming about?! Anyway, just throwing in my two pence against another story wide crisis right now. "If part of the goods be plundered by a pirate the proprietor or shipmaster is not entitled to any contribution."
