oderlesseye
After much haggling and shall Eye say lusting..I finally landed some barrel chairs in my area that i hooked up the trailer and picked up this week end...I won them On Ebay and got the Whole lot fer $285.00 . Not bad considering the price fer one chair originally went for as much a $375.00 .They're in prime condition however they will need to be reupholstered to my taste..Good bye 1970's retro and hello to a Piratey place to swill me rum wit friends! Yarrrr! I have already consulted one reupholstering place but will take my time to get this done while I shop fer a few more places to get a custom job, at a reasonable price... As for the table..i want to do something more rustic but again it all takes money..And I have to keep a weather eye on that ..My parent company ( Caterpillar) just laid off 20,000 people... Me Timbers be shivering! Nonetheless Oderlesseye be stoked at this moment! YArrrr! Guest
they will need to be reupholstered to my taste. I'm not 100% positive, but I think you can get some vinyl (plastic... the spelling just doesn't look right.....or else spell check isn't working....) dye and paint /dye them..... well that should work until you have th' swag ter gets it done right an' proper like...... Dang... it just keeps getting better an better...... great job.....
Black Syren
It's spelled correctly Patrick and that is a good idea. Vinyl works very well and Those look easy enough to upholster by yourself. if you try it take the previous material that comes off and make a pattern for the next fabric you put on and you can always find those upholstery tacks. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Dara286/trident01-11.png If you got a dream chase it, cause a dream won't chase you back...(Cody Johnson Till you Can't) Â Â
Quartermaster James
Damn! But I love the old 70's diamond upholstery you have there now! Takes me back to many a watery margarita in a Copper Penny Lounge... So, what's Wicked Cricket? Anything like Mondo Croquet?

Twisted Maggie Smythe
Avast! me hearty! I have sat here and read this whole thread in total amazement of the journey your 'cove' has taken...it is a fabulous cove. Never have seen one done so right. The details that you have added are just wonderful! You have Disneyland beat! Hope you have many, many years of fun enjoying it! When my kids move out in a couple of years, I hope to change my place into a pirate ship. My kids hate the pirate stuff. So I am going to wait till then. Then watch out! I have been collecting for about a year now. Don't know if I will ever get it as good as yours is, but I am looking forward to doing it. Bravo! ((standing ovation))

oderlesseye
This here be a piratey looking hanging light that was donated to me and deemed "Broken". I put a new light bulb in it and it worked just fine.. Night tyme lighting is one area Eye am still looking at. When the lighting situation is complete, Dead Mans Cove will have the warm feeling of an old tavern. Ransom
Eyes, your cove just keeps getting better and better. A grand job, to be sure. I wish I lived closer, so I could attend your first cove pyrate party, but alas..... Have you set a date yet? ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... You can do everything right, strictly according to procedure, on the ocean, and it'll still kill you. But if you're a good navigator, a least you'll know where you were when you died.......From The Ship Killer by Justin Scott. Rumba Rue
Great find Eye! Now that's just the thing you need, especially overhead. Hey Rumba Rue, THEY ARE SOLAR! says so right on the box. if you go to the site, you can get ones that run off of Solar, batteries, or electric outlets. They have all the bases covered. Too bad they are not a little bit cheaper, I would go broke with the number I would want to put in my 'pirates cove'. No Fear Have Ye of Evil Curses says you... Aye,... Guest
$60 isn't really that bad..... sure you could try to make yer own.... find a discarded solar Light panel (the kind that they sell for walkways).... break it apart, un-solder the batterys (that's the part that messes up on them...) replace the batterys ... and then solder on new wires and led's with a resistor (ooops... not resistors.... capacitors)...so they blink.... but they wouldn't go on and fade as nicely..... If you have a buncha free time, (know how to play wit electronics, or have a friend wot knows how to.....) it might be doable.... an' you could save a few bucks.... A buncha blinkin' fireflys would look cool in yer Pyrates cove tho.......
