Wanted: Good Maritime Fest

My publishers will send me anywhere to hawk my new book, (Gus Openshaw's Whale-Killing Journal). As it's more maritimey than piratey (although one of the main characters is a pirate) in the market for decent maritime festivals, and would be much obliged if anyone tells me of one. Charleston, SC, is the only one on the docket so far.

The "Pirattitude" guys are doing a book thing at our local waterfront bookstore - Time Enough Books - owner Karla Nelson (Ilwaco, WA)

You should come chek out Ilwaco - it's a famous old town - unique!

I dug through the boating magazine I work for to see if there is anything coming up. I've never been to any of these, so i don't know if they are good ones are not:

Baltimore Waterfront Festival: April 27-30 (not sure if there is a website, I'm sure it will google)

and the

Maritime Folklife Festival in Solomons Maryland: May 6th (www.calvertmarinemuseum.com)
