Captain Sage Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Hey mates, I'm a bit crazy around the edges, as you can see by this post. I recently made a fansite for Blenheim Ginger Ale (ever heard of it?). I know the tendency of pirates toward strong drink, so to promote my new venture, I managed to get my friend Blackbeard to do a promo of sorts: Better than Rum and Gunpowder. Captain Sage Visit The Pirate's Realm and Blackbeard's Realm
Rummy3 Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Arrrghh, thinks I might as well give this new ale a try!
Rumba Rue Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I've never heard of it. Never seen it here on the west coast. I guess it's something you have to order via the Internet.
Patrick Hand Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Just in case anyone is interested...... Mixing gun powder (black powder) in rum.... it should taste like sulpher .... but you can't taste the powder anymore...... It makes the rum very dark, but You can actuly chew up the left over grains of powder..... Of course I heard that it makes you go mad....... aaaargh... ain't "living history" so much fun.........
Patrick Hand Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Just saw this in another forum..... and thought it would be funny after my last post...... "Black powder (or any gun powder) and alcohol don't mix" It was from the Muzzleloading Forum, about drinking and gun safety..... but I don't think Blackbeard ever read that......
