Fox Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Lordy Gerl! So, where ya gonna pack that tree? I got me own ta do.... but not til, oh February..... Blimey Dorian, get it down today or you gotta leave it up all year! That's the tradition! 'Tis bad luck to take the decorations down after twelfth night. Right, gotta dash down the patent office, I just had this great idea about a virtual tree... :) Foxe"With this Fore-Staff he fansies he does Wonders, when, God knows, it amounts to no more but only to solve that simple Question, Where are we? tishsparrow Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 well, they have those 'space saver trees'. the one thats flat on one side for putting against a wall, the one shaped for going in a corner, and the upside down tree that hangs from the ceiling.
Barbados Sam Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Arrr....I thought this thread were about trees wit' lot's o' knot holes in 'em. Reminds me of a time I went hikin' alone.....damn woodpeckers..... "There be the chest, inside be the gold, we took them all. Spent them and traded them. We frittered them away on drink and food and pleasurable company. The more we gave them away, the more we came to realize... the drink would not satisfy, food turned to ash in our mouths, and all the pleasurable company in the world could not slake our lust. We are cursed men....Compelled by greed we were, and now we are consumed by it."
Bonnie Red Weasel Posted January 8, 2006 Author Posted January 8, 2006 I will. :) I'm still waitin' for ya...

hurricane Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Thanks to Disney, we have a surplused 3' palm tree, pre-decorated, from the Polynesian. It just tucks in a corner after we take it off the table. When living in the Northwest I sooooo hated taking down a real tree. Damn things would be dead in a week and you could only plug it for a minute or so without risking fire. I ended up shoving one of them into the space between my apartment and the supermarket next door once. Glad to be rid of fir trees, or as I saw one year at a Winn-Dixie in the Panhandle, Fur Tree... -- Hurricane -- Hurricane ______________________________________________________________________ http://piratesofthecoast.com/images/pyracy-logo1.jpg Captain of The Pyrates of the Coast Author of "Memoirs of a Buccaneer: 30 Year Before the Mast" (Published in Fall 2011) Scurrilous Rogue Stirrer of Pots Fomenter of Mutiny Bon Vivant & Roustabout Part-time Carnival Barker Certified Ex-Wife Collector Experienced Drinking Companion "I was screwed. Rummy3 Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Next year, I am going to have a tree if it kills me, and I promise after Christmas, when I am struggling to take it down, I am going to promist to be thankful that my holiday is not like the last.
