callenish gunner Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 if more pyrates begin to plan now they will be plenty of time to firm up plans for next year's festival ...i will be going anyway i can even if i have to fly in and ship my tent and goods fed ex.!!!!
William Brand Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 http://piratesinparadise.com/schedule/index.html November 24th - December 3rd 2006
Captain Jim Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Aye, thats the spirit! We plan on going (meself, Blackwater Patti and our little powder monkey, Morgan, who will be five by then) and maybe camping next year. If we don't camp we plan to rent a house for the week: it can be cheaper than a hotel room, especially if you cook at the house (no restaurant prices.) My occupational hazard bein' my occupation's just not around...
capnwilliam Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 So, who's goin'? Where's a good place to stay? We'd be flying in, so would be interested in a hotel / motel / or better yet, a bed and breakfast. Capt. William "The fight's not over while there's a shot in the locker!"
the Royaliste Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Well, we have it on our 'calendar', so to speak, but that said, we've around six thousand or so sea miles, all of the Great Lakes twice, the NY Canal System, and the entire eastern seaboard to cross..Not merely a plane ticket for us!.....But, if you land, and see square sails on the horizon, and a pair 'o RR's, back to back....
callenish gunner Posted January 10, 2006 Author Posted January 10, 2006 well royalist i hope t' see ye in the keys come november .... and perhaps on the lakes over the summer
Tudor MercWench Smith Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Okay! So . . . what all is it going to take to plan to go to PIP? It looks like crazy mad fun, but I don't even know where to start planning . . . help? I would love to go in 2006, but I would need to start planning now, and I need to know if it would be too hard to swing . . .I want to go . . .*pout*
the Royaliste Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 well royalist i hope t' see ye in the keys come november .... and perhaps on the lakes over the summer well mate, as long as we stay solid below the waterline, and the Perkins doesn't give up the ghost, we'll make the Keys..As far as the lakes, we're booked from Chicago, Ill. to Plattsburgh, NY already, so...see ya on the 'fresh water'! Presently studying the guides for the ICW....not much sailin' from the sound of it, but hellacious scenery!
willie wobble Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Ahoy , Royaliste if'n you be sailing the ICW down through the mid part of florida you are more than welcome anchor up off my front yard in the river , around the cocoa beach area, we could trade up some cannon shots seeya in KW,,, willie wobble
callenish gunner Posted January 10, 2006 Author Posted January 10, 2006 and wench if ye be wantin' to go down t' florida i'm sure since yer relatively near by and ifin ye could add to the tank there would be enough space for a cute lass to share the ride with meself and my son and as for a place t' stay there .... we'll see what can be done!!! :)
the Royaliste Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Seems a few eastern intermediaries are doin' the email thing in regards to our appearance this fall...Just added Crown Point, NY, and feelers are out to Annapolis...chartin' southbound coordinates, surely!......
Bunnycutlass Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Does anyone have the PIP coordinates? Address that is? Ifin I wishes to go, I will need t' book me timeshare so I can take the week off. Is it jest the weekends or the entire week? That may make a difference as well. I wouldst love to go! I do so enjoy FL and live for vacations! Bunny Cutlass
Maggie Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 If you stay anywhere in Key West, you'll be close enough, It's a very small island. Maggie
Jib Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I would recomend the Key Lime Inn. About a 30 minute walk from the fort but close to about everything else. Clean rooms, big beds, cottage style.
Bunnycutlass Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I have a timeshare I was going to use..They normally require an address to book the closest one. Depends if I am traveling alone though. May want a hotel if that is the case. Will have t' ask me girls if they want to go with me! Scarlet, Dev and Rummy are usually easy sells on anything Pyrate! Bunny Cutlass
Lady Devyl'N Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Depends if I am traveling alone though. May want a hotel if that is the case. Patrick Hand Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 About mid-week through the weekend is more fun.... That way you can get into the spirit of things.... see some of the more interesting sites in Key West..... and enjoy the trip......
Bunnycutlass Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 well we will see what that weekend holds for me... may just be me ifin me lass gets some work. Hard to say this early on. I may come out fer the entire week, dependin! Bunny Cutlass
hurricane Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I think the Pyrates of the Coast will be there again this year. We would do a Wednesay/Thursday arrival through the last weekend. That's when 90% of the festival is happening. -- Hurricane -- Hurricane ______________________________________________________________________ http://piratesofthecoast.com/images/pyracy-logo1.jpg Captain of The Pyrates of the Coast Author of "Memoirs of a Buccaneer: 30 Year Before the Mast" (Published in Fall 2011) Scurrilous Rogue Stirrer of Pots Fomenter of Mutiny Bon Vivant & Roustabout Part-time Carnival Barker Certified Ex-Wife Collector Experienced Drinking Companion "I was screwed.
