Mary and Ann go to court

I was reading about the live action trial of Mary Read and Anne Bonney and wondered if it was a good a show and worth the extra cash.

For those of you who have seen it, is more of a comedy or a serious recreation?

The play is pulled from the transcripts and much of the testimony is accurate as are the characters. There is some measure of schtick and improv in it to keep it interesting. The actual trial was an extreme bore. I've go three times and if I was there again, I would go this year.

"I was screwed. I readied my confession and the sobbing pleas not to tell my wife. But as I turned, no one was in the bed. The room was empty. The naked girl was gone, like magic."
