In my opinion (and I was once a Prussophile) that royal cypher looks more like FWR than FR. Frederick Wilhelm was Old Fritz' dad. Reigned from 1713-1740???In S&B there is a European hanger circa 1690-97 (#9.S) with a iron heart-shaped hilt, and an English hanger circa 1725-1740 (#11.S) with a brass one. They both look EXTREMELY similar to this sword. You want my opinion. For more functional ones Darkwood armory is working on some beauties that aren't listed on the site yet, and for heavy contact Popinjay's up in bangor Maine. happy hacking!
