tishsparrow
jacks pistol in the first movie was a real antique period blunderbluss, i think. it was antique, i know that. so they probably still will use that one, charlotte.
callenish gunner
not sure wether it's an antique ....but not a blunderbuss .....it appears to be a customized version of a dragoon style pistol with engraved but cap and silver escutheons opposite of the lock and a silver thumb piece on the back of the handle ....i zoomed in on the scenes that show the weapons on the dvd's ........it would be nice if someone could get details of the actual arms used on the films ....i'm tired of seeing so-called actual prop pieces showinf up on ebay or being sold on websites claiming to have the real deals .....i'm sure that most of the pieces in the film were not pot metal cast denix repros
Charity
I'm always at awe when i see the "cannon" like thing Barbossa has My god it's huge, i've looked at weapon sites often as love old weapons, i'm not specialist but i've never seen one quite like it. Ofcourse him being Barbossa he should have something extraordinary
tishsparrow
alright, its antique, watch the bonus features, think under "an epic at sea". they say they wanted the real thing, so they got an antique.
blackjohn
That's neat. I was always under the impression it was a custom job, or one of these. Antiques always feel soooo nice. tishsparrow
yea, i love antiques. me and my friend, we were at this little shopping village thing, and we found an antique shop. the owners were staring at us, they must have thought we were going to steal something. guess you dont see teenagers go into antique shops very much, and we were looking for old clothes and lacy hankies and things... to make into new clothes, and the hankies get turned into pockets and such. wow, if i could find an antique sword... theres probably one somewhere over my grandmas or something, she has so many old things in her storage rooms. yea, rooms, the whole second floor of her house is storage. BILLY BONES
Johnny's pistol is indeed an antique. We are using the original he"s always had. There was a pair, but now only one can be found, although 2 copies have been made, just in case. The "missing" pistol isn't lost, but I won't say where it is. Barbossa's, as you already know, is huge, and very ornate. Perhaps I can get permission to take some nice photos of both and post them here. I know there's been alot of speculation about them, and you can't see much looking at the film. BB Capt. William Bones Then he rapped on the door with a bit of stick like a handspike that he carried, and when my father appeared, called roughly for a glass of rum. This, when it was brought to him, he drank slowly, like a connoisseur, lingering on the taste, and still looking about him at the cliffs and up at our signboard. "This is a handy cove," says he, at length; " and a pleasant sittyated grog-shop. Much company, mate?" My father told him no, very little company, the more was the pity. "Well, then," said he, "this is the berth for me." Proprietor of Flags of Fortune.

Black Hearted Pearl
That's neat. I was always under the impression it was a custom job, or one of these. Antiques always feel soooo nice. I need one of those. It would work well with my personae since I can trace my ancestors back to Prussia. ~Black Hearted Pearl The optimist expects the wind. The pessimist complains about the wind.
