Captain Midnight
I'd have to say Wallace Beery as Long John Silver in the 1934 version of Treasure Island. Jackie Cooper played Jim Hawkins in that one. "Now then, me bullies! Would you rather do the gallows dance, and hang in chains 'til the crows pluck your eyes from your rotten skulls? Or would you feel the roll of a stout ship beneath your feet again?" ---Captain William Kidd--- (1945)
Black Hearted Pearl
Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, of course and Errol Flynn as Captain Blood. ~Black Hearted Pearl The optimist expects the wind. The pessimist complains about the wind. The realist adjusts the sails.
Jack2
There are so many different types of pirates that it is difficult to choose just one. Funniest - Johnny Depp as Capt. Jack Sparrow in POTC, ... Walter Mathau as Captain Red in Captain Red Most classic fictional pirate - Geoffrey Rush as Capt. Barbossa in POTC Most scary - Wallace Beery as Long John Silver in Treasure Island Most musical - Tim Curry as Long John Silver in Muppets Treasure Island Most unbelievable - Gina Davis as Morgan in Cutthroat Island (no woman is that strong) Most athletic - Burt Lancaster as Capt. Vallo in the Crimson Pirate, Errol Flynn as Dr. Peter Blood ... in Captain Blood So much for me 2 dubloons worth. Jack II
