Pirate Petee Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 I just got some real nice tall black bucket boots. They are about knee level. Only problem is that they are starting to fall and get baggy. A little baggy is ok. Any advice on how to keep em up. Thanks
Jerry Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 You need to keep the boots off the ground, in a hanging position. I was myself looking for a source to hang my boots. I may rig a shoetree/hanger combo or clean them and store the boots laying on the sides. Jerry

hurricane Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 Our crewe just uses some black leather thong to tie um up... right below the knee so they won't slide down the calf. The cuff hides the tie. Rumba Rue Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 ...gee when I was a kid in Grade school, my knee socks use to fall down all the time. I finally used big rubber bands to hold them up... That's it! Use really BIG rubberbands! Rumba Rue **Hey I ain't blond fer nothin'**
Pirate Petee Posted May 24, 2005 Author Posted May 24, 2005 Giant rubber bands. Hmmmm...... Could work. Or giant rubber bands to go from my boots and over my shoulders. That way when I walked the boots would look like they were bouncing. Thats IT!
HarborMaster Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 Boots from Champion Attitude in Texas wont fall down . The standard 18" shafts are made from 6oz leather. I am not Lost .,I am Exploring. Pirate Petee Posted May 24, 2005 Author Posted May 24, 2005 That be the place that I purchased them. I mean the buckets not all the way down to the ground, but they are starting to sag.
morgan_thelimey_grimmway Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 I have no input, but by the way, Pirate Petee, your avatar and pic are amusing. Heeeeheheheheh. I think it's the grin that makes it.. "Work is the curse of the drinking classes."
callenish gunner Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 aye lad might i recomend he use of a pair of leather dog collars under the flaps and if you decide to pull the buckets up tet still look good...... "from a former boot merchant"
gryffin Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 You need boot garters. They are small belts or ties that go under the flap just below your knee. I was having the same problem and had an old pair of “80’s” boots that had belts wrapped around the ankle, not doing anything just for show, and have metal tabs on the ends. I punched a few new holes and let the ends hang out from under the buckets for decoration; it looks good and works great. Check Ren boot sites or leather sites on the web. I know I’ve seen them out there I just can’t remember where.
Patrick Hand Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 ah rubberbands with buckles.. See we were right after all........ dang... it is so hard to be humble..............
