Capt. Flint
I am sure that many of you have heard of this ship. If not, it is called the Kalymar Nickel. ( I hope that it is spelled proper ) They have a web site that you can get some info. as well as view various pics of her. There is also a listing of where she will be heading and how you can pay for her services for certain functions. Hope you enjoy it. The Capt. Coastie04
I did some searching and came up with this spelling: Kalymar Knyckle. The link to it's website didn't seem to work, but for anyone who wishes to at least see a picture of the ship, go to: http://rumskulls.org/hornblo.html The link that this page gave for the Kalymar is http://www.kalnyc.org/Kalmar.htm Coastie04 She was bigger and faster when under full sail With a gale on the beam and the seas o'er the rail

Jamaica Rose
You can see a photo of the Kalmar Nykel, but I'm not sure if it's the ship in the foreground or the background. http://www.noquartergiven.net/ae_philly.htm More tall ships can be seen if you follow the various links at: http://www.noquartergiven.net/aebattles.htm Also, more tall ships at: http://www.noquartergiven.net/clash.htm http://www.noquartergiven.net/danapt97.htm http://www.noquartergiven.net/ships.htm http://www.noquartergiven.net/pip2001pg2.htm http://www.noquartergiven.net/pip2002pg2.htm If these aren't enough tall ships for you, you can find all sorts of links to other tall ship websites at: http://www.noquartergiven.net/ports.htm#Tall Ship Sites Fair wyndes, safe harbors and full tankards, --Jamaica Rose "A lemon a day keeps the scurvy away!" --Jamaica Rose Editor of No Quarter Given - since 1993 http://www.noquartergiven.net/ "Bringing a little pirate history into everyone's life" Find No Quarter Given ... on Facebook: facebook.com/noquartergiven ... and on Twitter: @NoQuarterGiven
Booga
Just out of curiosity.... Why do Calmar Nyckel fly the finnish flag? Not that it has not happened before that the white and blue has showed up in "piratical" places. Remember Port Royal in "Cutthroat Island"? Jamaica Rose
I thought the Kalmar Nyckel was supposed to be Swedish. The colony of Delaware originally had a lot of Swedes if I remember correctly. But I don't know the flags that well though. And the finnish flag (the white and blue) wasn´t composed until the early 1900´s when the struggle for freedom from Russia began. But Calmar Nyckel has both the swedish and the finnish flag, so thats why I´m wondering... :)
