John_Young
Now I'm not one to frequent Hot Topic (being as its stupid to be goth past a certain age... And I'm not one to collect Living Dead Dolls (seeing as they're quite gruesome and once you become a parent you'll understand)... But I found the Hot Topic exclusive Living Dead Doll Captain Bonney last night at the mall. She's about 8 inches tall. Has on 1 boot and her left leg has a peg. Her right hand is a hook. She has a scar across her right eye and underneath the eyepatch it looks quite gruesome. She's wearing black leather pants, a red velvety cap'ns coat, a headband, and she has red hair in dreads/braids. Her left hand is bedecked with rings and she has an earring in each ear, both different. She has a belt with a pouch, cutlass with scabbard, and a flintlock pistol. The cutlass's hand guard is shaped like a skull and looks wicked. Yes, it comes out of the scabbard. At about $27, I highly recommend everyone get one. "Yo Ho, all together hoist the colours high Heave Ho, theives and beggers Never shall we die..." "I don't care who ye say you are lad, if ye say 'savvy' one more time, I'll bury this cutlass in that thick skull of yers!" -Captain John Young - PILF
Captain Charlotte Savvy
Dammit! As Bonny is my favorite historical pirate, I'm gonna hafta buy the cursed thing. Another $27 thrown into Davy Jones's locker. Now, if I can just hold off on gettin' it until payday, that will be something at least ... "Pirates ... were of that old breed of rover whose port lay always a little farther on, a little beyond the skyline ... if they lived riotously let it be urged in their favor that at least they lived." ~ John Masefield Those who live by the sword, get shot instead. Pynch
Damn.... well, I'm nigh on the big 40, have NOT outgrown an occasional gothic day, and have always enjoyed the rather "Ed Gorey-ish" side of my daughter, so I'm hoping someone in this house will realize that I'd really like to see that in my stocking this holiday!
