Last Friday I found a new book on pirates, by none other than my favorite pirate historian, Marcus Rediker. The title is: Villains of All Nations, Atlantic Pirates in the Golden Age. I love Rediker's previous works, and while flipping through this book I can see I'll love it too. I know what I'm reading once I finish the Dampier biography!

Yes, you should. I've finally finished the Dampier bio and started reading this one yesterday. Thus far (just finished chapter 2) I'll say it is one of the best pirate history books I've ever read.

So far, would ye say that the new Rediker book delves noticeably deeper into piracy than Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea? Is it worth getting?
