blackjohn Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 Last Friday I found a new book on pirates, by none other than my favorite pirate historian, Marcus Rediker. The title is: Villains of All Nations, Atlantic Pirates in the Golden Age. I love Rediker's previous works, and while flipping through this book I can see I'll love it too. I know what I'm reading once I finish the Dampier biography! My Home on the Web The Pirate Brethren Gallery Dreams are the glue that holds reality together.

blackjohn Posted August 18, 2004 Author Posted August 18, 2004 Yes, you should. I've finally finished the Dampier bio and started reading this one yesterday. Thus far (just finished chapter 2) I'll say it is one of the best pirate history books I've ever read. JoshuaRed Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 Hey BlackJ! So far, would ye say that the new Rediker book delves noticeably deeper into piracy than Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea? Is it worth getting?
