Black_Jack_Quartermaine Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Scanning the horizon and looking for fellow rogues. Would like to find a group near the Wilmington-Beufort area, as I live on Topsail Island. Archaeologist by profession, pirate by trade, resourceful rascal by reputation. Carolina coast was made for piracy, hence our long-standing tradition of it. Want to participate in public education and general mayhem-like fun. Black Jack

Black Mab Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Ahoy there. Although I've long been fascinated by maritime history and living history/reenactment, I'm relatively new to the scene . . . . . .so forgive a foolish swabby if I'm in the wrong place, but any pointers on pirate crews in the Los Angeles area? Just looking for something casual and fun . . . PM/email/AIM/flames/cannonballs/whatever . . .thanks in advance, mates. Avast, ye scurvy dog!
Rumba Rue Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Don't know if PoTC - Pirates of Treasure Cove, would interest you, but we have some great people in the group (no ego trips here), but we have certain guidelines we have to follow (doesn't every group?) due to us being an actual non-profit group. Our goal is to teach reading and true stuff to kids by putting out a number of books for people to look through. We also hand out scrolls with age defining of what books are good to read. We've also done crafts, reading stories to the young ones and interacting with the public. Arthur of Kent is our Captain, so he's the one you'll need to contact. Here's some more things about the group: https://pyracy.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11275 If you are interested go to: Pirates of Treasure Cove

Actually, my mom is a middle-school English teacher. Her emphasis is on "at risk" (for illiteracy) kids, so I've gotten a bit of exposure to that . . .Would be nice to help some folks out while having fun for myself at the same time . . . I'll check it out. Thank you. Avast, ye scurvy dog!

Capt. Sterling Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 I don't suppose there's anyone around Nebraska, is there? Maybe Kansas or Iowa? Missouri even? Well, Crimson Davy, Members of the The Crewe of the Archangel live through out the US, but there are a number of us in Illinois and Wisconsin.. we are a historical based group though, not a Hollywood/Fantasy pirate group... If interested pm me. "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell...
